Asthenic neurosis or neurasthenia is a mental disorder caused by prolonged physical or mental overload. This pathological condition of the nervous system most often occurs in young people against the background of stress, problems at work or school, personal emotional experiences and tragedies, systematic problems with sleep. Among the manifestations of neurasthenia include: pain and a feeling of constriction in the head, dizziness, increased heart rate, pain in the heart, increased blood pressure, redness or pallor of the skin, heartburn, loss of appetite, belching, flatulence, impaired stool, decreased libido. Neurasthenics are very irritable, easily excitable, have problems with concentration, fall asleep and wake up hard. Treatment requires a combination of drug therapy with a strong correction of the daily routine, showing moderate exercise, walking before bedtime.
