Symptoms of vibrational illness are pulling and aching pains in the arms and legs during rest and sleep, but disappearing after a short period of time after resuming work with a vibrating tool. Also symptoms include paresthesia, chilliness, whitening of fingers, vascular disorders, polyneuropathy, general malaise, irritability, headaches, trouble sleeping, tachycardia, pain in the epigastric region, asthenia, neurasthenia, hearing impairment may develop. Treatment requires the cessation of activities associated with vibration, avoid hypothermia and excessive physical exertion. Drug therapy is symptomatic, usually supplemented with vitamin complexes, glucose and calcium gluconate. Physiotherapy is prescribed, in particular, electrophoresis, UHF, reflexology, massage sessions and balneotherapy.
