Reiter’s disease or syndrome is a rheumatic disease in which the urogenital tract, joints and mucous membranes of the eyes are simultaneously or sequentially affected. The cause of the disease is an intestinal or genitourinary infection. The first disease affects the urogenital tract (urethritis, prostatitis), then eye diseases appear, and 1-1.5 months after the first symptoms, reactive arthritis develops. Reiter's disease in half the cases is accompanied by the formation of ulcers in the oral cavity and on the penis, red papules and spots on the skin, peeling and cracking of the skin on the palms and feet. The disease is treated with drug therapy, physiotherapy is added at the last stages of treatment.
