Treatment postinfarction cardiosclerosis in Jurmala

A type of coronary heart disease in which part of the heart muscle is replaced by connective tissue. Patients with post-infarction cardiosclerosis complain of progressive shortness of breath, tachycardia, decreased endurance during exercise, orthopnea. Against the background of concomitant hypertension, pulmonary edema may develop. With the development of insufficiency of the right ventricle, edema of the legs, hydrothorax, hydropericardium, acrocyanosis appear, veins in the neck swell. Atrial fibrillation, blocks, ventricular extrasystoles are often diagnosed. The patient needs to limit physical and psycho-emotional stress, diet, regular use of ACE inhibitors, nitrates, beta-blockers, antiplatelets, diuretics, or drugs of other groups appointed by the attending cardiologist. In difficult cases, surgical treatment is indicated, including implantation of a pacemaker.
