Treatment hyperlipoproteinemia in Karlovy Vary

Hyperlipoproteinemia (hyperlipidemia, dyslipidemia) - a metabolic disorder for which an abnormally high level of fats or lipoproteins in the blood is inherent. In the generally accepted classification, five types of hyperlipoproteinemia are distinguished, depending on the etiology and the identified violations. Symptoms that may indicate the development of hyperlipoproteinemia include: paroxysmal pain in the epigastric region, most often associated with the intake of fatty foods, loss of appetite, fever, pinkish-yellowish rashes on the skin, manifestation of reddish-white vessels on the retina, visible ring around the cornea, seals on the achilles and tendons of the hands and feet, yellow plaques and nodules on the skin, ischemia of the heart at an early age, ulcers above the elbows and knees, high blood pressure. The basis of treatment is the transition to a healthy lifestyle and a cholesterol-free diet, if there are no results, then drug therapy is additionally prescribed to lower cholesterol.
