But with great regret I can note that the food has changed and I confirm the words of other guests, not for the better. Last time we took three meals a day and were very pleased with the quality of preparation and variety. Therefore, this time we chose this hotel again. But after reading negative reviews about the food, this time we decided to only have breakfast and dinner. Breakfast: sausages, cheeses, eggs, pate, vegetables, yoghurts, fruits, muesli, flour, tea and coffee. We are not fussy and don’t eat like that at home, so breakfast suits us quite well. But as for dinners, there are no beautiful words. Of everything that was prepared, only pasta and potatoes could be eaten. No, there was meat and fish, salmon, but it felt like it wasn’t the cook who cooked, because it was really impossible to eat it. Everything was either dry or hard. And here I have a question for the management, what has changed since January 2019, the dining room and ingredients are the same, but the taste is different. And I would advise the management to listen to the reviews of the guests, and there are many of them with the same opinion as ours. Our family is satisfied with everything except the food, but if this does not change, then, alas, next time the choice will be made in favor of other hotels. My fears turned out to be in vain. The spa hotel is located in the very center of the resort on Stara Luka, opposite the Geyser (Schweik “sits” next to it). Treatment and meals are provided in the building of the Jessenius sanatorium, which is located 150 meters from the spa hotel Esplanade, where the reception is also located. At the hotel, at the entrance, 3 steps on the side are covered with flooring, which was very important for me. We were greeted well - check-in was from 14 o'clock. I arrived at the hotel at 11 o'clock. I was sent to the nurse, where they measured my blood pressure and referred me to a doctor. Doctor Svetlana Palchik saw me Already at lunchtime (11.30-12.00), while prescribing the procedures, I twice called the doctor and the nurse for “lymphatic drainage” (my “pants” were cut off by the m/s, because I was too big for them). As a result, I was prescribed procedures, 2 of which I went through immediately. After that, I went to get settled in Esplanade 2 (the landmark was Schweik). The room was for 2 people, the window overlooked the restaurant "Schweik", where tables were visible (it didn’t bother me - there was a lot of noise I didn’t hear that). In the bathroom there is a shower, a large dryer, a hairdryer, soap and shampoo in bags. Towels were changed 3 times a week - Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Bed once a week. The maids cleaned well and vacuumed the carpet daily. The hotel has a quiet, homely atmosphere, conducive to a relaxing holiday. The treatment took place at “Jessenius” (I was very afraid of walking from hotel to hotel, my fears turned out to be in vain), all procedures took place on time, I didn’t see any queues. The medical staff was very attentive (my knees don’t bend well - on a magnet and parafango they put cushions under me I took them, the “bag”, lying on my side). I thank the medical staff for the treatment: Doctor Svetlana - very attentive and courteous, changed procedures, wrote prescriptions Senior m/s Ivanka - changed procedures for a trip on an excursion without any problems Nurses Yaroslav and Anse - Charcot's shower, m/b Pavel and m/s Anse - paraffin and parofango, m/s Vera - gas injections and m/s Irina - gas bag and magnet. Meals are buffets for breakfast and dinner. Twice I was replaced with dinner for lunch when traveling to the mineral pools in Germany. Breakfast - sliced sausages and cheeses, delicious processed cheese, sausages, all kinds of sausages, many different salads, 2 types of yogurt, cottage cheese, 2-3 types of baked goods, fruit cutting (apples, pears, kiwi, bananas, oranges, grapefruit), a juice machine - cherry, apple, orange and water, tea and coffee from a tank (sometimes they set up a stand with 6 rows of bags with different brews), milk, 3 types of bread and a toaster, 2 types of porridge, chopped butter, muesli, 3 types of confiture. For dinner, 2 types of soups (very tasty vegetable), different salads, pork, beef, fish - this is daily (turkey, rabbit, chicken), delicious casseroles (5 different ones), baked vegetables, cauliflower, broccoli, various pastries and fruits. The staff brought food all the time, ate food at the end of breakfast and dinner, there was always a choice. The very attentive Miriam and Vendula work at the reception; many thanks to them for their assistance in checking in luggage for the flight.
