It was my first time at this sanatorium and I needed help, I didn’t know where to find a doctor. And the head doctor yelled at me in Czech, not knowing what my question was. A very rude and unpleasant woman. And I also heard from other clients about the same meeting. But she was the only one in the Sanatorium who allowed herself to do this.

I liked the hotel. The medical facility is excellent, the staff is excellent. All the nurses are polite, despite the fact that The majority of vacationers are aged 60+ (we still have to endure it!). The waiters serve quickly and always with a smile. They even take the time to talk to you and advise you on what to order from the menu. The reception will solve all your questions quickly and politely. The food is according to a 3 star hotel, not all dishes suited us, but there is plenty to choose from on the menu. Breakfast is buffet, great choice. The rooms were cleaned daily, the bed was changed every three days. I especially want to mention the waitress Katerina from Ukraine, nurses Petra and Monica. But there are also negative aspects. Please change the pillows! Sleeping on them is a challenge. Thin and hard. But if you can still put up with the pillows, but with the attending physician named Chlupova... Rude, one might even say boorish, not attentive. She may be a good specialist, but my husband and I didn’t have time to notice it, because our appointment for two lasted about 10 minutes, instead of the allotted 20-30 per person (this is indicated in the hotel price list). She didn’t even look at my orthopedist’s report, she said that it was she's not interested. My husband has high sugar levels. She generally thought that prescribing a diet was our whim. No procedures were offered; we didn’t even know what they had in the sanatorium, because... It was our first time in Karlovy Vary. The appointment followed a well-established pattern: five minutes, next. And when I asked if I could add additional procedures (for money), the answer was: “NO.” Apparently the sanatorium does not need money. We felt like schoolchildren in front of the formidable director. We had to take gas injections at a nearby hotel. The mood after taking it was ruined. Next year I will look for another hotel. And this is only because of doctor Chlupova

This sanatorium has two undeniable advantages - location and medical facilities. The staff during the procedures, in the dining room, and the maids are beyond praise. Very nice pool. The rooms are normal, no frills, but comfortable and have everything you need. In general, everything is quite consistent with 3 stars.Negatives
There is a complaint about food: why add so much salt?! And in general, if nutrition is important to anyone, then this is not the place for you. Although it is clear that the cooks are trying, some things are quite successful and some things are not so good.

A lot has been written here about bad food and it is true. Breakfast is still ok. What a cook, everything is too salty or peppered. Even cheesecakes can’t be cooked without breaking the wall. They save on everything. There is no fruit at all and the quality of the second courses is inedible. It’s just terrible why you can’t just take breakfast, but you can eat downstairs - everything is there and delicious pastries, which is what I did.

There are too many steps along the corridor, a shallow pool, a small sauna, during the massage the staff talks to each other so there is no way to relax. I have never met such rude staff during procedures.

The declared three stars are justified. Great location, next to thermal springs. The staff is friendly. They communicate in Czech, German, Russian. You can communicate easily. The food is decent. We didn’t order lunch, breakfast and dinner were enough. The rooms have everything you need. In general, everything was as expected. I recommend it to everyone who wants to maintain preventive health and does not rely on stars from heaven. Thanks for the rest.

The food sometimes tasted like yesterday, was processed, warmed up, and didn't always taste fresh. Breakfast ok. But a lot of things disappeared quickly, and there was a long wait for supplies. In the parafango department, paraffin treatment was quite loud, processing was like a continuous procession.

We were satisfied with the rest and treatment at the sanatorium "Kryvan" Wonderful and spacious rooms for relaxation. The rooms are clean. We were there from March 10 to 19, 2024. On account treatment - the range of procedures is average, but it was quite enough for our needs. The diet is very varied and at the same time dietary. Thank you for the good time and treatment.
