Diathermy in Luhačovice

Diathermy is a method of physiotherapy, which consists in exposing parts of a patient's body to a continuous or pulsed electric field of high or ultrahigh frequency. The procedure is absolutely painless. Electrical energy is converted into body tissue into heat, which leads to the expansion of capillaries, increased blood circulation and lymph outflow in the affected tissues, reduction of pain, which is caused by edematous processes. Diathermy stimulates the regenerative processes in the tissues, which makes it possible to apply this procedure at various stages of the inflammatory process. When the patient is exposed to the abdominal area, the increased muscle tone of the intestine, gallbladder and biliary tract is reduced. In patients with reduced secretion of the stomach, the secretion of gastric juice increases, while with increased secretion it decreases. In chronic inflammation of the kidneys, diathermy normalizes the dynamics of urination and restores kidney function.
