Chronic laryngitis is an inflammation of the mucous membrane of the larynx and vocal cords of the long course, which develops either against the background of acute laryngitis, or under the influence of constant contact with irritating factors (tobacco smoking, industrial hazards, etc.). Symptoms of chronic laryngitis: hoarseness, sore throat and tickle in the throat, ligaments get tired quickly, episodically cough with sputum. Symptomatology takes a more pronounced form during exacerbation of the disease. Treatment involves quitting smoking, eliminating exposure to pathogenic factors, voice rest, limiting alcohol, spicy, hot and cold foods. Warm drinking, physiotherapy procedures (quartz, ultrahigh frequency therapy, magnetic therapy), inhalation therapy are indicated.
