Neurocirculatory dystonia (NCD) is a functional-type symptom complex that occurs on the background of impaired neuroendocrine regulation. The complex of symptoms includes: aching or stitching pain in the heart, tachycardia, arrhythmia, pulsation of the head and neck vessels, swelling of the face, weakness, fatigue, progressive decrease in working capacity, shortness of breath, feeling of incomplete inhalation or clod in the throat, fear of suffocation and the inability to stay in stuffy room.
