Treatment migraine in Piestany
The form of episodic headaches, characterized by bouts of intense pressure or pulsating headache (mostly unilateral) with neurological, vegetative manifestations, disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. The "center" of pain becomes the area of the forehead/eye/temple, can give to the back of the head. The migraine attack in some cases precedes the prodrome, which is characterized by lethargy, deterioration of concentration. The attack itself is accompanied by nausea, phono and photophobia, loss of appetite. After an attack, patients experience severe weakness, pallor, yawning. The first attacks occur, usually at the age of 12-22 years. Symptoms of migraine are relieved by analgesics, codeine-containing agents, and triptans. Patients are required to undergo preventive measures to reduce the frequency of attacks: taking beta-blockers, antidepressants, calcium channel blockers, NSAIDs, psychotherapy, muscle relaxation, acupuncture.
