Treatment polyradiculoneuritis in Rimske Terme

Polyradiculoneuritis (synonyms - infectious polyneuritis, Guillain-Barre syndrome) is an autoimmune inflammatory disease in which peripheral nerves and spinal and cranial roots are affected multiple. Polyradiculoneuritis characterized by intense pain in the back, shoulders and pelvis, impaired sensitivity in the peripheral type, flaccid paralysis of the arms and legs, vegetative disorders, increases the concentration of protein in the cerebrospinal fluid. In the final stages of development, paralysis of the respiratory and facial muscles can develop, cranial nerves are affected. Hospitalization is required in the intensive care unit. Plasmapheresis, hourly monitoring of the patient’s condition, heparin for the prevention of thrombosis is shown. During the rehabilitation period, massage, exercise therapy, balneotherapy, paraffin baths, electrostimulation are indicated.
