Symptoms in this case are the loss of the ability to perceive pain and temperature in significant areas of the skin. Sensitivity most often loses the skin of the trunk and hands. Patients complain of unreasonable pains and paresthesias of the skin, pains in the neck, chest, upper extremities, between the shoulder blades, thickening of the skin, cyanosis, slow healing of wounds, deformities of the joints and bones, osteoporosis.
