Treatment spinal muscular atrophy in Teplice
A group of genetic diseases associated with muscular atrophy and degeneration of the motor neurons of the spinal cord and brainstem. Conditionally spinal atrophies are divided into children and adults with a manifestation in age from 16 to 60 years. The main symptom of SMA is symmetric flaccid peripheral paralysis, accompanied by weakness, atrophy and hypotonia of the muscles of the limbs and trunk. Often found fascicular twitching and fibrillation. An effective method of treating spinal muscular atrophy has not yet been developed, the existing therapy is aimed at stimulating nerve conduction, enhancing peripheral blood circulation and maintaining energy metabolism in muscles. Patients are shown massage and physiotherapy, if necessary, selected special orthopedic designs.
