The sanatorium is good, located in the very center of the resort, the building was built in Soviet times, but the architecture is unusual, the atmosphere inside is quite decent, there are restored rooms. Nearby there is a chic and well-kept park with a gallery of mineral water for drinking, there is a lot of greenery in the park, flower beds, squirrels run around in the morning. Lots of benches, fountains, very pleasant atmosphere. The air is clean, because there are only pedestrian areas nearby The sanatorium itself has everything you need to restore your health: doctors, medical rooms, a swimming pool with mineral water. The reception staff is very friendly, they help with any questions (they changed the room upon check-in, brought an electric kettle to the room). A representative of the local travel agency works on the ground floor, understands Russian, you can book excursions. Heating in the rooms is via air conditioning. The view from the room is gorgeous - mountains and city, large window covering the entire wall. The restaurant allocates a separate table, at which we sat all the days of our stay. The waiters work professionally, clear the dishes quietly and quickly. The buffet has regular dishes and dietary ones, a lot of fruit and dairy products. We are very pleased with the choice of holiday destination, we will definitely come again, I really liked the drinking water (four main springs and a mineral pool)Negatives

Good day to all! My husband and I vacationed at the Merkur sanatorium for 11 nights in February 2024. The impressions from the trip were positive. Special thanks to the sanatoriums.com team. Everything was done clearly and professionally. When communicating with employees, we received quick, high-quality advice and did not experience any discomfort. Very good clear accessible site. The trip to Serbia was also a pleasant experience for us. We discovered a new country for ourselves, a country with kind people and beautiful nature. The Serbian language is so clear that we did not feel a language barrier. We communicated with the medical staff and the sanatorium staff, understanding each other. Like all guests of the sanatorium, we visited the procedures prescribed by the doctor and the thermal pool. We arrived at a time when the resort's swimming pool was closed on February 19 for annual scheduled repairs. but as compensation, we were offered to use the wellness center pool for free. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of the town - you can take walks in the park, along the alleys, along the shopping pedestrian street. Nearby there is a market, a large Chinese store, many pharmacies (they are 2-3 times cheaper than here in Germany). You can go on an excursion to the mountains. The resort has a travel agency representative in the lobby. We took a one-day tour to Mount Goch. We stopped at a monastery and a church, and visited a restaurant in a trout farm. The food was normal and acceptable for us. Varied. There was always a choice of dishes. The staff is polite. We enjoyed our stay. We hope to return. Thank you.Negatives

There is no monitoring of the results of the procedures. There is no possibility of communicating in Russian, and especially in Hebrew, with the staff (with the exception of the wonderful person and empathetic doctor Tsiala). The food is not always edible and monotonous. The soups were amazing - worse than in the Soviet army. It’s hard to get used to it that there is a lot of smoking around. The paid massage was absolutely delitian. I do not advise repeating my not very successful vacation.

Regarding sanatoriums.com: They answer emails instantly, respond quickly and answer questions. Everything that was promised came true. Including transfer. Company account. I will also rest/treat with you. Regarding the Merkur sanatorium: a classic sanatorium of the late USSR. Head physician, medical card, nutrition according to diet No. 15, who remembers, from morning to evening procedures, drinking healing water, tests, and so on and so forth. The staff speaks Serbian, many speak Russian and some speak German. The main contingent of vacationers are Serbs. The people are friendly, polite and non-confrontational. Most are of retirement age, but there are also young people with children. In the room (suite) I had two bathrooms, one with a shower and toilet, and the other with a bath and bidet(!). Interesting design solution. Air conditioning, loggia, minibar, internet - slow, but livable. Nearby there is a promenade from source to source, in parallel there is a pedestrian area with shops and restaurants. The food in restaurants is better than in the sanatorium. The cuisine is mainly local, but there is also Italian. There is a market with fresh fruits and other things. Everything is on foot. Money is used in local dinars (115:1 to the dollar), and euros are also taken at the market. Exchangers are everywhere, just like in Moscow in the nineties. They issue a check, they don't require a passport. They accept Visa and Mastercard cards in any store and restaurant, even AMEX in hotels. Safe, police and security are not visible. A taxi around the city costs three or four dollars from end to end. Full body massage for 50 minutes - 37 dollars (40,000 dinars). I lost one and a half kilograms in two weeks, I could have done more, but I found some tasty local beer and spoiled the result. Overall, I'm happy. Thank you!Negatives
A relative minus is that the food at the hotel is not very good. I took half board - breakfast/lunch. Breakfast - classic continental, lunch a la carte, soups and main course - so-so, salads are better, always fresh from vegetables and various cheeses.

Came here for the second time. I am very pleased with the service, the attitude of the doctors and staff. The procedures are very effective for me. Electropheresis simply works wonders. Lymphatic drainage and mud, paraffin and underwater massage, irrigation and ultrasonic massage. Such a variety and number of procedures is not available in other European sanatoriums. And of course, a private swimming pool with a sauna and dry bath. Perhaps nothing except not very high-quality room cleaning. The bed was changed once in 10 days. In the neighboring hotel the music played loudly until late, but this is no longer the fault of our hotel.

Very uncomfortable mattresses, pillows were simply terrible, the food was disgusting, everything was too salty, you couldn’t eat it, and it was written that the sanatorium offered diet food. I had to eat at my own expense in restaurants. I do not recommend anyone to relax in this sanatorium.

I really enjoyed my week-long stay and treatment at the Merkur SPA complex! Many thanks to all the staff! From the first step into the hotel I felt a warm welcome. On the day of arrival at the reception I was met by a very nice girl Naryana, who spoke Russian. On the very first day I I was received by the Russian-speaking doctor Tsiala. I am grateful to her for the excellent organization of my treatment! Also, many thanks to the nurses from outpatient clinic 242. They were so caring! I express my deep gratitude to the doctor on duty Petar and the nurse on duty Alexandra, who helped me stabilize my high blood pressure. Thanks to the physiotherapist for correctly prescribing physiotherapy. They really worked, although I was skeptical about them at first. Thanks to the women who performed them. And special thanks to Tamara! Thanks to the SPA workers for water aerobics at 17.00, they were always so friendly. Many thanks to the women's doctor Slavitsa for her competence, knowledge of the Russian language and sincere attitude towards the patient. Many thanks to the nurses (Kupatilo), especially the wonderful Susanna! Also, many thanks to the hotel manager for the good organization of the stay at the hotel in general. I had an inexpensive small single room, but it was very comfortable. Room cleaning was good. Thanks to Zoritsa! The hotel has rooms for different tastes and budgets. The food in the restaurant was delicious and varied. Special thanks to the waiters for their service, especially Zoran! I was pleasantly surprised by the very convenient location of the hotel! It is located right in the center, and also close to the bus station. The water in all sources turned out to be pleasant to the taste. And the resort itself turned out to be much larger than I thought! I really liked the city, despite it being January. I can imagine how nice it is here in the warm season! Low water temperature (22 degrees) in the pool and low air temperature in the room where the pool is located (about 23). The air temperature in the rooms was about 19-20, which forced us to turn on the air conditioner for heating, the filters of which had not been cleaned or disinfected, judging by the layer of dust, for a long time. All these facts reduced to zero the entire healing effect presented at the Merkur Spa Center. We caught a very bad cold. The recovery process took about two weeks, so there is no way to say anything positive about the time spent at the Center.

Sanatorium "Merkur" is really a place where older patients - pensioners - actually receive treatment and relax. A serious and professional staff of doctors listens to each patient, conducts the necessary examinations using modern equipment and prescribes treatments based on the wide possibilities of the beautiful and rich nature around, including, for example, mineral waters of warm springs such as Karlovy Vary. (unlike the latter, Serbian springs taste better and helped in our case to correct some gastrointestinal problems with the stomachs. Also, the physiotherapy prescribed to me allowed me to significantly improve the problems with pain in the legs when walking. I liked the diet menu designed for older patients. I liked the high-quality and friendly attitude staff. We were pleased to spend almost a month of rest and treatment in your hotel, returned home and are already looking forward to visiting you next year for similar or longer periodsNegatives
We lived in a room with a larger balcony (PREMIUM N 601), we were satisfied, but.... sorry, the toilet was so small that there was simply not enough space for a 184cm tall man to sit down properly. There were also a lot of minor comments such as the lack of a normal shower hanger, loose towel hooks, etc. True, the comments made in the reception were quickly corrected (why couldn’t this have been reviewed and corrected in advance?). Unfortunately, there were many misunderstandings due to the lack of a normal opportunity to clarify some questions in Russian or English (??). The TV in the room has about 100 channels and not a single one in Russian (why can’t you add 2-3 channels in Russian, such as ORT and RTR?). In our presence, the administration organized weddings in the dining rooms twice (once every 2 weeks), at which time everyone living in the hotel was transferred to the old building in a room of insufficient space for a large number of vacationers (!). As a result, people lined up in long lines, moved slowly despite pushing by those behind, there was hassle and natural dissatisfaction, the normal nutrition of people these days was absolutely disrupted! In my opinion, if you plan such inconveniences in advance and do not announce them in SANATORIM, then perhaps you can at least somehow fix this with some bonuses for vacationers? - This is how it is done all over the world...

The food is simple, quite monotonous, but well prepared (except for fish, they don’t know how to cook at all). You can always choose what to eat. At the very least, in the city, delicious pastries. Beautiful nature, quiet, peaceful place. Full relax. There are not enough procedures, but you can buy more, very cheaply.
