Breakfast was good, lunch and dinner were not good, there was a lot of canned food and often mashed potatoes, after a few days my wife and I got vomiting and diarrhea and we felt very bad, we cut our vacation short a week early and went home. We found out from other holiday guests that they were also not feeling well and that they had the same health problem.

This is the third time we have spent our time at the Hotel Forest. We were warmly welcomed and given our room keys. The doctor came on the same day, on Sunday. After a conversation, he ordered our treatments. Your own wishes were also taken into account. We booked half board because we are usually out and about at lunchtime and prefer to eat somewhere else. Breakfast is so lavish... everything from muesli to beans with bacon was included and also very tasty. In the evening every day a soup is served, a small salad, a main course and a dessert. Plentiful and varied - we were full and satisfied every time. The sessions were mainly in the morning, so we had time to explore the area from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Since we were there during carnival week, there were always people in colorful costumes walking on the streets :) the ski lift was open and lots of snow enthusiasts came. It didn't snow, but there was still snow on the slopes and quite a bit. The miniature park is beautiful and worth seeing even in winter. The singing fountain was fenced in and out of use, but was beautifully decorated with fairy lights. The springs that are outside were all closed and winterized - that's understandable, but you have to keep that in mind if you want to travel in winter. Overall, another lovely stay in Marienbad. We stayed at this hotel from December 25 to 30. Very nice staff. The food is delicious, everything is fresh, good portions. Breakfast buffet for every taste. The procedures all went well, after which we felt that it was beneficial. The only negative was it was a little boring. Since the hotel does not have a lobby or any kind of lounge so that guests can communicate with each other. But we walked a lot near the center and the colonnade. Plus, the hotel is located almost in the forest, so the air is so clean and the birds are singing and you can hear the sound of the river. Walking through the forest is a pleasure. This is the fourteenth time in sanatoriums in the Czech Republic, but this is the first time we have seen such a doctor’s appointment. Patients flew out of the office as if from a machine gun. There was no dialogue, apparently she was in a hurry to get somewhere. I wasn’t interested in anything other than what medications we take. I asked what procedures we wanted and that’s it. If staff come to work early by car, the music should be turned off in the car before entering the company premises. At times it is so loud that it wakes you from your sleep (6:00 - 6:30).
