Abano Terme is a wonderful place for treatment and relaxation. There is a small minus: it is not very convenient to get to Venice. In this regard, the nearby town of Montegrotto is better, because... There is a railway station directly in it with a direct line to Venice. Therefore, from Montegrotto you can easily travel to Venice every day (it takes about 40 minutes with all the expectations). From Abano Terme this will not work - you will have to either take a taxi to the Montegrotto train station or go by bus.

A pleasant, clean town located not far from Padua, half an hour by bus. Buses do not run exactly on schedule, sometimes you have to wait extra time, which is not very pleasant in the heat. Every evening there is music in the city center, there are free concerts and dances. Beautiful cathedrals, ancient sundials. Lots of shops, market on Wednesdays

I lived in Montegrotto Terme, the air here is much better, probably due to the proximity to the hills and a large number of coniferous trees, there are walking routes, it’s easy and quick to get to Padua and Venice by train if you wish, the station is five minutes away.
