59 years old. I rested for a week in January 2020. I arrived in Druskininkai by bus. There were no taxis at the bus station, which is not a problem. The distance to the Belarus sanatorium is 1.7 km. 20 minutes. on foot. It's hard to get lost. At the first intersection there is a stand with a map of the city. The sanatorium belongs to the Administration of the President of Belarus. It can be seen that a lot of reconstruction has been carried out. New buildings and separate cottages were built. All buildings are connected by covered walkways. The rooms have been renovated. Modern showers with devices have been installed to make life easier for people with disabilities. Three towels are changed daily. TV with programs in Russian, Belarusian, English, German, French. Refrigerator, electric kettle. The room is cool. I'm not a cold person, but a couple extra degrees wouldn't hurt. When you were in the room you had to warm yourself up. Cleaning is daily. The sanatorium is located in the center of Druskininkai. Surrounded by parks, the Neman flows nearby. 100 meters away is the central square with a water park, a cable car, a bunch of cafes and kiosks where local entrepreneurs sell food and non-food products of their labor. Registration of documents upon check-in took no more than 5 minutes. Went up to the room. Immediately a call rang with an invitation to the doctor. The survey did not take much time. Focusing on the Sanatoriums website, I focused on improving the kidneys and liver. The main specialization of the sanatorium is the musculoskeletal system. However, in the end I didn’t regret it. Basic procedures are prescribed. More complex ones must be paid additionally on average from 7 to 15 EUR. I got pearl and carbon dioxide baths (3 times each), manual massage of the shoulder girdle (4 times), massage bed (1 time), massage chair (3 times), magnetic therapy (4 times), herbal cocktail (100 grams once a day ), mineral water of two types without limitation, vacuum massage of the lower back (4 times), gym, swimming pool. I really liked the carbon dioxide bath. You really get a boost of energy in the morning. I found a recipe for making a carbon dioxide bath at home from a mixture of soda and sodium carbonate. There are no problems with soda, I can’t find sodium. I liked all types of massage. I don't understand about magnetotherapy. You lie down on the couch and they pierce you with a magnetic field, there are no sensations, I hope there was some benefit. Pearl bath, nice to watch the bubbles. Procedures are not carried out on weekends. The gym is practically empty during the day, sometimes local guys come in the evening. Dining room. When you visit the dining room for the first time, your place at the table is determined for the entire period of your stay. Breakfast and dinner buffet. You order lunch the day before, choosing from 4 dishes. The menu is good, originally from the USSR. There are no frills, everything is simple, mostly tasty and without restrictions. Several types of meat, cheese and vegetable slices, a bunch of different salads, fruits, several types of desserts. For both breakfast and dinner there are hot dishes of beef, pork, chicken, fish, and vegetables. A couple of times they gave us boiled eggs with red caviar. Garnish with various cereals, mashed potatoes, and French fries. In the morning they fry eggs. Wonderful potato pancakes and zhemaichu pancakes. Everyone will put together their own gastronomic set. It’s been a long time since I’ve bought a product that’s sold in the cheese departments of our supermarkets. It turned out that cheese is delicious. Before leaving, I bought some at the store to take with me. I didn't like the lunches, especially the soups. I left in the morning, they gave me packed rations for the trip))). Judging by the table setting, the sanatorium's occupancy rate is 20 percent. But there are enough reserve areas and display cases for distribution, I think there will be no problems with serving guests in the summer. Pool. Theoretically, you have the right to visit the pool for 2 hours during the day. But there is no special control over this. I wasn't there for more than an hour. On the ground floor there is a fairly large swimming pool-jacuzzi and two waterfalls. On the second there is a swimming pool, a wet steam room with a temperature of 40-45 degrees and a dry steam room with a temperature of 70-75 degrees. I went to the pool at about 16.00. Considering the number of vacationers in the sanatorium, I felt comfortable. I don't know what will happen during peak season. On Saturday, local residents came to the pool and there were problems with the changing cabins. And the jacuzzi with steam rooms was a bit cramped. The sanatorium has an inexpensive cafe with a standard range of soft and alcoholic drinks and snacks. Druskininkai is a quiet, clean city aimed at tourists. With a population of 20 thousand people it is visited by 250 thousand a year. Wonderful parks, or rather, they are not even parks, but well-maintained pine forests. Near the sanatorium there are attractions for extreme sports enthusiasts. Rope bridges and ladders are strung between the trees at different heights. Tarzans can test their skills. The parks run along the banks of the Neman and merge into one another. The ethnopark has a restaurant serving national cuisine. There are two grocery stores on the square next to the sanatorium. Prices and assortment vary quite a lot. For those whose health allows it, I recommend trying the local liqueurs Palanga, Dainava, etc. Alcohol in Lithuania is sold until 20.00. At the end of the street Ciurlionis there is a hypermarket. Those who wish can take a walk. The distance is approximately 3-4 km. If you are planning to take some food home, keep in mind that food products are only allowed to be imported into Russia in industrial packaging. Druskininkai positions itself as a city of silver jewelry makers. In the sanatorium they are sold in the fitness bar. In general, I am satisfied with my stay at the Belarus sanatorium. Those who wish can afford to relax both in more expensive establishments and in cheaper ones; there is a wide choice. There is a camping site across the road from the resort. You can live in a tent.)))
