A huge plus of this hotel is the access to the sea directly from the hotel and spa. The staff is friendly. Room cleaning and change of towels - daily. Room view - at the sea. Furniture and carpets are old, but all clean and strong. Meals for every taste, but every day the same. In the rooms - hairdryer, fridge, kettle and tea items, shower gel, shampoo, soap, which were regularly replenished. WiFi is good in the morning, and weaker in the daytime. In general, a good hotel. There are nuances - dirty sand on the beach (a lot of fine garbage - cigarette butts, traffic jams, wrappers), have not cleaned for a week, remove only large garbage and garbage from the urns. Of the 3 elevators are working 2, and during breakfast and dinner to wait for the elevator was up to 15 minutes. The building near a couple of nights interfered with sleep. For breakfast and dinner there was practically no fresh fruit. And also it is necessary to consider, that the age of the holiday-makers in this hotel is mainly over 60. It's not a disadvantage, of course, but still.

I'm satisfied with living in Hod Hamidbar. The restaurant was perfectly fed, I do not know the truth about the diet, but I'm fed up with it. The staff was moderately helpful and attentive, there were no problems with the language barrier, which is very important for me when traveling. The Dead Sea was right outside the hotel, there were saltwater and sulfur pools, a private fitness room (obviously in need of renovation but tolerable), good Wi-Fi, which was also important for me. I was very satisfied with the qualification of the doctor and the quality of the stay, but this does not apply to the hotel. In general, I recommend it!

The staff was very kind. The hotel is very clean. The food in the restaurant is excellent. We were with a 2-year-old child and the room had everything we asked at reception. The treatment at Dead Sea Clinic is done by experienced doctors at a very high level. I recommend it to everyone!

The Hod Hamidbar hotel made a double impression on our family. First, about the pros. We came to the Dead Sea primarily for treatment, doctors' appointments and procedures were carried out at the Dead Sea Clinic about a kilometer from the hotel, a bit of a walk with sore legs, but they provided a transfer upon request, so it was normal. I really liked the treatment itself, both in terms of the attitude and qualifications of the staff, and its immediate effectiveness. The results of treatment for my husband’s psoriasis exceeded our skeptical expectations, and my sore knees began to feel much better after swimming in the Dead Sea, mud wraps, magnetic therapy sessions and other procedures. The hotel is located next to the sea, a fairly good spa center in the hotel, delicious quality food. Health comes first, so the shortcomings were unpleasant, but we accepted them.Negatives
About the disadvantages of the Hod Hamidbar hotel. Seeing the prices of the rooms, we expected excellent service and accommodation in a state-of-the-art hotel. In fact, the rooms were old, our room had problems with the shower, even the hotel lobby looked worn out. The reception staff also didn't do their job very well, they weren't rude, but we didn't get any enthusiasm or smiles from them either. Problems were resolved, but reluctantly.

I have skin problems and suffer from chronic tonsillitis and rhinitis, the doctor advised me to rest and heal at the Dead Sea. Choosing the Hod Hamidbar hotel due to its close location to the sea, the presence of swimming pools with Dead Sea water and a relatively favorable price. I was a little worried because of a number of negative reviews on the Internet, but overall I was very pleased with the vacation. Sunbathing, mud treatment and sea salt helped with the skin, and the unique healing climate, I hope, will protect against sore throats. The room was clean and quite well maintained, from the window there was a stunning view of the Dead Sea, swam in the pools, ate to our hearts' content in the restaurant. There were several misunderstandings with the staff, the reception staff looked tired, and even small questions and problems took a long time to resolve. But they decided. The disadvantage of the resort is the almost complete lack of entertainment and ways to spend your free time.
