The spa town of Mariánské Lázně is very beautiful - location, architecture. I like it much better than Carlsbad or Franzensbad. Here too, as already mentioned, the language skills bother me. I think the Czech Republic is in the EU and the Eastern Bloc is history. Russian is not the lingua franca in the EU - that should change at least in the tourist centers, otherwise the clientele will continue to be predominantly Russian like it was during the time of the "Iron Curtain" - and that would be a shame. The Czech Republic is a very beautiful country with many sights, beautiful nature and many healing baths that more western EU citizens should get to know and enjoy.
