The hotel itself is well located next to the forest and colonnade. The building is old, the ceilings are high. The room is spacious, comfortable, the bathroom is large, there were sets of shampoo, shower gel, cotton pads, nail files, a sewing kit and a shoe brush. Cleaning every day in the morning. The TV shows one Russian channel. The food is excellent, many different dishes, fresh salads, fruits, muffins and pastries. Here in the restaurant they really did their best and everything was laid out beautifully. The tables were all separate. And at first we sat only the two of us, but at the very end of our stay, two more were seated with us, although the floor of the hall was empty. In the treatment department, the women are pleasant, although the procedures are simple - paraffin hand baths and gas baths, 1 massage and 1 mud application. There was a whole show in the salt chamber, but as it turned out later, it was a paid event. The audience is mostly elderly Germans and a few Czechs. Even though the town is small, there is plenty to do. In the summer, of course, walk in the parks; even in winter you can see that there are a lot of them. Walk around the city and look at the most beautiful houses. We walked to Bohemia Park and Hamelika Tower. Wonderful pine air and mineral water. We also looked into the shops; it was nice that the saleswomen spoke Russian. I wrote on the website that we were unable to use the free transfer from the airport to the hotel due to a flight delay and they organized a free return transfer to the airport. Special thanks for this!!!!! We liked Marianske Lazne, before that we were in Karlovy Vary from the same site, and although the hotel was smaller, there were more varied procedures and they didn’t ask for extra payment for Christmas dinner) Health to everyone!!!!!!Negatives
Let's start with the fact that after I paid for my stay with 3 meals a day, I received a letter from the website stating that the hotel would organize a Christmas dinner and it was necessary to pay an additional 60 euros for two. I categorically refused to pay extra. This is expensive despite the fact that the food has already been paid for and in today’s difficult times I may not even get to the place. That's almost exactly what happened. Due to flight delays, we arrived not at 13.00, but at 21.00. Not only did the Christmas dinner not take place here, there wasn’t even a free transfer from the hotel waiting for us. The operator I called did not help me at all. Miraculously, we found a transfer via the Internet for 90 euros, because on Christmas Day a taxi would also be difficult to find, and the journey from the airport to the hotel takes 1 hour and 40 minutes. The Russian language in the hotel is not very good. At the reception the young girls do not speak, in the restaurant and in the medical department people of the older generation speak and it was very nice. The doctor is a nominal figure, doesn’t speak Russian, doesn’t prescribe any special procedures and didn’t even measure my blood pressure. No procedures such as electrotherapy or lymphatic drainage were given. Even once, the salt chamber turned out to be paid, which we found out only during departure, when we were presented with an invoice at the reception. The spa area is small, but out of the 4 bathhouses positioned, only two were working. For some reason, the Germans took off their swimsuits before the sauna and steamed naked. This is unacceptable to us at the spa. The shower holder in the room did not work; it was impossible to fix it.

Booking through sanatoriums was very complicated to book over the internet. It would be easier if you could just book by email. Wanted to book 2 single rooms for (Menhardt + Materne). Since only 1 single room was possible, I took the double room for €1,222. To our surprise, we were each given a double room at the Hotel Reitenberger. Why these price differences?

Almost none of the staff speaks Russian, although the hotel description states that the staff speaks Russian. The food is monotonous. You don’t have to go to lunch at all, because the soups are simply terrible and the salads look like they were chopped with an axe.

- Food was plentiful but unfortunately mostly really poorly prepared, so that it has to be described as a waste of food - Staff tried hard, but was not helpful if you wanted to find out information about the opening times of the in-house facilities or the local events offered by the hotel - Dining room with limited space allocation, this space was again limited for the New Year's Eve event, which is why everyone at the table next to you often had to get up if you wanted to go to the buffet - the in-house guest representative was not very helpful for information and was usually only to be found drinking beer in the dining room - all in all, definitely not recommended

The hotel is definitely not recommended. 1. In the evening the water for showering is barely warm. At least on the 5th floor. 2. We booked 22 spa treatments, nobody informed us that you couldn't choose these 22 from all the spa treatments available in the hotel. You have to pay for many of them yourself, for example you pay for almost all massages or baths yourself, they are not part of the spa program. The hotel doctor naturally prescribes the cheapest treatments. 3. Instead of 20 minutes like in the spa program, the therapists do 15 minutes of gymnastics. Just like with most other applications, you only look at the clock. 4. If you get to dinner 1 hour after the start but actually 1.5 before the end, a third of the food is no longer there. 5. Depending on which lady is sitting at the reception, the salt cave costs 5 or 6 euros. 6. The sauna closes at 6 p.m., the swimming pool and fitness at 7 p.m. When we asked why it was like that and not everything was open until 9 p.m. like in the other hotels in Mariánské Lázně, the unfriendly answer was that we don't discuss other hotels. 7. The elevator is a complete disgrace. He's shaking so much that you can't help but be afraid. 8. Guests are at least 70 years old, not for younger people. 9. Hardly anything for vegetarians. 10. Lunch is very modest. 2 soups and 4 salads, 3 of them with meat.

Due to my husband's acute illness (urgent surgery), we were forced to interrupt our vacation and leave the hotel on July 16, 2019. We reported 12.07. at the reception about early departure and before departure we want to meet with the hotel management and resolve the issue of compensation for unused days. The amount of 2845 EUR was paid in cash at the hotel on the day of arrival for the period from 07/02 to 07/31/19. However, the meeting with management did not take place and the issue of compensation remained open. We ask you to resolve the issue of a refund or arrange for us to stay at the Ortenberg Hotel in October 2019 for the remaining unused 14 nights.

Noise from the guesthouses increased in the narrow street and the delivery and collection of garbage boxes etc. There were a lot of cars due to the mountain and curve loud. We booked a superior room, they tried to put us in a very uncomfortable standard room, but after our request to show another standard room, they placed us in an apartment and did not require any additional payment. Thank you. The staff, unfortunately, speaks practically no Russian and poor English. With German there is order, this is understandable, practically only Germans have a rest. I was pleasantly surprised by the inclusion of wine, beer, juices and water in dinner. Overall we are happy with our holiday.

You can take a thermos of water into your room. And in a restaurant you need to order and pay for tea separately. The apartment is super, lots of space, cozy. Great for families. Friendly and helpful staff, especially in the restaurant. The girls at the massages, gas baths and injections were great. They work well and conscientiously. A doctor's examination lasts 5 minutes, he prescribes almost the same thing for everyone and there is no examination. It relies only on what you write yourself.Negatives
Spa opening hours: the sauna closes at 18:00, the pool at 19:00... in the evening I would like to swim and go to the sauna, especially with a child, but it’s not possible - it’s a shame. There is no possibility to do a blood test, although this service is indicated in the price list and the price is 5 euros. But they don't. A doctor's examination cannot be called an examination. There is no particular interest. Prescribes the same thing to everyone. The audience was mostly old people who came for injections, massages and to the salt mine. The spa staff practically kicked us out after 6 pm. The woman walked around with a mop every couple of minutes and washed the floors, although we were still in the jacuzzi or pool and made it clear that it was time to leave - the cleaning had begun.
