Treatment chondropathy (osteochondropathy) in Portoroz
Osteochondropathies or simply chondropathies are a group of diseases characterized by the destruction of spongy bone tissue in their growth zones and leading to aseptic necrosis. Chondropathy develops in children and youths, mainly affecting the lower limbs. The most common chondropathies are: Perthes disease, Osgood-Shlatter disease, patella chondropathy, foot bones, calcaneus, vertebra. Symptoms depend on the type of the disease, but usually chondropathy is manifested by mild or moderate pain, impaired function of the limb, soreness when pressure is applied to the affected area, visual noticeable change in the normal contours of the body. Even without treatment, the bone will recover in 2-4 years, but without therapy, residual deformities will follow, which can trigger the development of deforming arthrosis. Treatment consists of limiting exercise, physiotherapy, taking vitamins, using orthopedic structures, and special gymnastics.
