Treatment requires rest to the joint, temporary immobilization may be required, physiotherapy procedures are shown (ultrasound therapy, phonophoresis, peloidotherapy, Bernard currents), analgesics, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, therapeutic blockades are performed for persistent pain lasting over 1-2 weeks. If the pain does not go away for more than 3-4 months, then it becomes an indication for surgical excision of the affected tendon sites.
