Treatment neurogenic bladder dysfunction in Truskavets

Bladder dysfunction, characterized by difficulty in accumulating or emptying urine. The disease may be a consequence of a congenital defect of the nervous system or develop due to spinal/brain pathology, trauma, encephalitis, neurodegenerative disease of the brain. There are two forms of the disease: hyperactive and hypoactive. The first is manifested by increased urge to urinate, imperative urges, discomfort and painful sensations during the emptying of the bladder, awakening at night due to urges, incontinence. Symptoms of the hypoactive (or hyporeflex) form are weak urge to urinate even with large amounts of accumulated urine, prolonged urination, accompanied by soreness, feeling of incomplete emptying after going to the toilet. Treatment involves exercise therapy, the normalization of the drinking regimen and the daily regimen, physiotherapy, psychotherapy, and drug treatment. In the hypoactive form, catheterization is performed, in extreme cases surgical intervention is required.
