The only negative is the accommodation. The receptionist Ondrej, despite my request to be placed in a quiet room because... I have problems sleeping, I was given room 120, where there are 2 pubs and 3 parking lots under the window - I had to sleep with the window closed, my request to be moved to the other side was refused? In addition, this Ondrej for some reason decided to check my visa and allowed himself to ask I received incorrect questions, which was an unpleasant surprise. Upon arrival, we had to carry our suitcases along the stairs ourselves - no one helped. When leaving, Ondrej silently took the keys, did not say goodbye - behaved inappropriately?

The hotel is located far from the springs. On the one hand, this is not bad; walking a lot is useful. On the other hand, going to the same place three times a day is not very interesting. It is difficult for people with bad legs (and I have a leg after a fracture) to walk such distances. In addition, we often had to go for water in the rain. But this in no way spoiled our holiday.

1) The nurse who scheduled the procedures for me and my mother mixed up our sources, and we drank the wrong water for the first 4 days! 2) On the day before departure, when the room was cleaned, we were not given any soap or shampoo, and the towels were not changed. 3) Problems with plumbing: leaking from under the sink (fixed), after a shower there is always water near the wall, both taps with hot and cold water were leaking - not fixed, even though we reported it. 4) Midges were flying over the vegetables, the last few days the food was completely tasteless, there was no choice of side dishes even for those who don’t eat pork (there are quite a few of them!) 5) Once they offered burnt potatoes as a side dish. It was impossible to eat, I had to complain to the cook!

For the sanatorium: - you can add toothbrushes, air freshener, vases for fruits and flowers to the rooms. - the hood in the bathroom is weak. Regarding transfer from the sanatorium to the airport: - before calling about changing the schedule, you need to think everything through yourself. And if unspecified changes nevertheless occur, then you need to find an opportunity to send it not by mail, but by calling the room by phone. The departure time was changed three times and the last one - the fourth - was reported only by mail. Even the sanatorium reception did not have accurate information and only chance allowed us to leave on time. That's the downside.

Taking into account 14 years of treatment experience in Karlovy Vary, in 4-5 different sanatoriums, the following can be said about the Ambassador sanatorium: a good renovated building; comfortable rooms; the hotel is quiet and peaceful; good location, 15 minutes to the main sources at a calm pace; procedures are performed efficiently, on time, without queues or fuss; cleaning is done daily, quickly and efficiently. The resort could be recommended if not for the problems with the kitchen described in many previous reviews, which the hotel management not only ignores, but also tries to hide.Negatives
poor quality preparation of some dishes, mainly hot ones: overdried fish, burnt potatoes, etc. The impression left (all guests of the sanatorium) is that the food is prepared and served by trainees, mostly kitchen workers and waiters no more than 18-20 years old. In addition, the rules of sanitation and hygiene are not observed, for us it ended in mass poisoning (18 people) with a temperature of 40, severe intoxication and all other signs. All 18 people fell ill at the same time after dinner, the sanatorium doctor provided virtually no assistance to the victims (2 tablets of activated carbon and 1 tablet of imodium were given - not treatment in this situation). The pharmacy opposite provided real help by selecting medications and doses. Further, the administration of the sanatorium and the chief physician referred only to the rotavirus infection that had spread throughout Europe. Even if this is so, we could only catch it in the sanatorium restaurant through food or service personnel, since before the poisoning the victims did not even know each other, did not eat together and lived on different floors. And why then, in the event of an “epidemic” in the Czech Republic and Europe, were the staff not wearing medical masks? Despite the fact that the administration did pay a small compensation of 30 euros per person, there is no desire to return to this sanatorium or recommend it to anyone. It was the work of the kitchen staff, the head doctor and the administration that influenced the rating poorly for the staff. The work of the nursing staff, reception and maintenance staff can be rated "very good". standard set of procedures (there are no new interesting procedures that have appeared in other sanatoriums recently)

A good sanatorium for relaxation and treatment. New, fresh rooms, excellent mattresses (which is very important to me), snow-white bed linen, towels and bathrobes. Change frequently, robe upon request! Very quiet rooms, lived on the 1st floor, no interference from the bar, which is located on the -1st floor. Of course, you need to walk to the springs, but this did not bother us, on the contrary. I can’t say that the treatment evokes admiration, but there was no negativity either - the number of procedures is quite large, everything was on time, the treatment complex is new, which is very pleasant! Nice pool with jacuzzi and comfortable temperature! There are towels everywhere; you don’t need to take anything with you for treatments and to the pool, everything is available. The food could be more varied, you won't go hungry, but there isn't much choice. The hotel staff are friendly and provide assistance with all questions. Overall rating: GOOD!Negatives

This is my 10th time coming to Karlovy Vary, I have been treated in 6 sanatoriums, Ambassador is one of the best. I am very pleased with the quality of the procedures: Dr. Cipova prescribed procedures according to my indications and taking into account my wishes, which helped me receive quality treatment. The procedures were carried out efficiently during the 24 days of my stay and strictly on time, without queues or failures. I would especially like to mention the massage therapist Zdenka, and the rest of the staff are always smiling, everything is very clean. The room was cleaned perfectly every day, bed towels were changed every three days, but upon request, towels and bathrobes were changed without any problems and more often. The food was varied and did not become boring after 24 days. Always 5-6 types of vegetables and fruits, wonderful desserts. Thanks to the chefs and service staff of the restaurant.Negatives
The downside is the fairly decent distance from the hotel to the springs/10 minutes at a slow pace/, but for me it was a plus - I lost 2.5 kg :)

My husband and I were on vacation in May. Upon arrival at the hotel we were offered a welcome glass of champagne, which was welcome. In the hotel itself there are jugs of clean water, lemon and mint almost everywhere. We were greeted politely at the reception by competent and friendly specialists - we checked in immediately and carried our luggage to our room. I would like to especially say about the specialists at the meeting - they were all polite, they responded to any question - connecting the phone, organizing trips, concerts, ordering a transfer, explaining where to get there and how. Many thanks to Margarita and everyone!!! We stayed in a classic room. Quite spacious room, large (220) double bed, all hygiene items in the bathroom. I would like to definitely note the cleanliness - it is surprising and at the same time pleasant that all the linen does not smell of anything - neither fragrance, nor powder, and at the same time, it is snow-white and soft, so hello to the laundry!!! The food in the restaurant, as they say, is of the highest standard - all the waiters work very efficiently and politely. The cuisine is European, buffet style, the variety, of course, is not the same as in Turkey, BUT, no one suffers from this. We paid for breakfast and dinner, you can change it if you wish, they go to a meeting without any problems if you notify us in advance. This has happened to us more than once - it’s associated with trips and excursions. Everything is delicious and exquisite, both prepared and served. If it's duck, it tastes like duck; if it's turkey, it's tender and beautifully presented. As a lover of fish dishes, I would like to mention the excellent carp in oyster sauce! Here is an example of one breakfast - cottage cheese with dried fruits, egg white omelette with ham, vegetable pancakes, fruit salad, Bavarian sausages, rice pudding, meringue cakes and coffee, coffee...infinitely delicious. It was eaten by one person - why do we also need lunch or dinner?!:::))) And if we add to this a luxurious concert hall, where you can also have lunch, then Doctor Irena (chief physician) met in a wonderful mood for the whole day at the same time day, and immediately prescribed, if the necessary tests were available, the entire package of medical services. In the medical department, all the nurses are responsive, strictly adhere to time, and try to please while performing procedures. The treatment block itself is delightful, the decor is made of natural wood, you hardly meet anyone, you don’t sit in line. Everywhere is clean and beautiful. The pool is small, but a very cozy relaxation room, candles, soft sun loungers. We took aqua classes - it’s amazing, you sweat (sorry for the details) from real physical activity, considering that it was just the two of us in the pool with my husband! The resort very much welcomes family wellness. We were pleased with the paraffin baths for hands and feet. Excellent massage therapists - the procedure lasts 20 minutes, but it feels like an hour. I went to sessions on psychological relief - prevention of headaches and stress. A very useful device. My husband and I took gas injections. There is not enough space to list everything. Dear gentlemen of the sanatorium, I am grateful to you for your attentive attitude to my request for a timely reservation, but I have only a negative impression about the ambassador. firstly, in the provided room there was some kind of persistent smell of an old person, maybe it was the smell of corvalol, which I reported to the reception, secondly, the medical facilities do not correspond to my ideas of a sanatorium of this level, thirdly, I chose this sanatorium because there There is a spinal traction procedure, but I was given only one session and so on I won’t list everything.. Что касается тракции позвоночника, то это весьма серьезная процедура, которую не назначают регулярно (так как она может иметь некоторые негативные последствия). Ее должны проводить только после изучения снимков МРТ. И в Карловых Варах не специализируются на вытяжении позвоночника, поверьте нашему опыту в изучении санаториев курорта. The sanatorium has a very good location, although it is far from the colonnade, but this did not overshadow us, even after a 15-minute quiet walk in the fresh air, near the thermal bath there are stalls selling fried sausages, liqueurs and sweets. Instead of lunch, sip mead and eat sausage with baked cheese and drink a glass of cold beer. Many thanks to the attending physician and medical staff, the massage therapist Zhdanka liked the special attention. The procedures are all good and most importantly everything is on schedule, the pool, although small, is free and available at any time, the sauna is just super. Many thanks to the girls and nurses, they are all friendly and kind and almost all speak Russian. Rating 9.2 out of 10.
