One positive. Wonderful staff. Sensitive and attentive doctor - Mrs. Irena Sipova. Modern medical base. Delicious and varied food. Cleanliness everywhere, like in an operating room. A fairly large distance to the sources, some may regard as a minus. For me this was a plus. The opportunity not to be lazy, to walk a lot and breathe clean air. If you dream of visiting the fairy tale of Karlovy Vary, I recommend the Grand Hotel Ambassador, where my husband and I vacationed in December. The friendly receptionist Martin met us, took care of our luggage and showed us to our room. Natalia and Kamila, hospitable at the reception desk, offered us a lot of interesting excursions to choose from. The medical department of the sanatorium pleasantly surprised us with the number and variety of procedures, and Ch. Doctor Tsypova Irena professionally and competently prescribed a course of treatment that corresponded to the diagnoses of our diseases. The food (buffet) left an indelible impression with an assortment of delicious dishes and desserts. The chefs never ceased to amaze with dishes made from venison, quail, partridge, turkey, and duck. Confectioners offered all kinds of pastries and desserts. The maids carried out high-quality cleaning every day in cozy, tastefully furnished rooms. I didn't want to leave. I just don’t want to call the staff by name, I’m afraid I’ll forget someone. Well done everyone, everyone, everyone. Thank you. The food has no taste and color, but for my wife and I it’s excellent. We lived in a double room, I don’t know when, but the maids cleaned quickly and efficiently. Thank you. Treatment - Doctor Irena selected a complex for my back, thank you very much. I really liked the work of the head physician, Mrs. Irena Tsipova, a highly qualified specialist with extensive practical experience, and simply a very attentive and friendly person. To prescribe my treatment, she came on Sunday to meet with me, and the first procedures were performed immediately on Sunday. The quality of the procedures performed and the work of the staff of the medical department are “excellent”. I booked a single room and was given a more comfortable and spacious double room (No. 203) completely free of charge. There is no radiator in the room, the heating is regulated through the air conditioner with a maximum temperature of +23. Sometimes it was a little cold in the room... During the week of my stay in the restaurant, they never served duck or goose, lamb in its natural form (the only time it was chopped), or whole river trout. For a 4* restaurant it’s a little “rustic” - chicken, beef, pork, the fish was dominated by salmon, which was not of very high quality. There were no lemon slices with the fish at dinner. At breakfast, the coffee is tasteless, unaromatic, not from a coffee machine, but from a “tank.” They didn't make fried eggs. When cleaning the bathroom, products with a very strong smell were used, and then I had to ventilate the room for a long time.

There are several wishes regarding the hotel's operation - I was not at all bothered by daily walks to the springs for 10-15 minutes. Also, in the hotel rooms - 120, 220, 320 - there is a problem with the supply of hot water - from the tap, where there should be hot water, there is cold water in the morning. We had to constantly contact RECEPTION, where Kamila, Natalya or Lucas instantly responded to the request and asked the technician to fix the problem. Unfortunately, hot water was available for no more than a day. And then I had to ask for help again. There are also wishes for the restaurant workers - unfortunately, juices and tea are given to visitors only during breakfast. And if during lunch or dinner someone wants tea, he must additionally buy a glass of tea for 45 CZK. Those who book a hotel in advance with treatment and three meals a day are not told anything about this. I believe that a 4-star hotel could well afford to provide its visitors with juices and tea for lunch and dinner - without additional payment. And I would also like to see a greater variety of dietary dishes and fruits on the menu. And not just sliced pineapples and oranges. And the last thing, which does not relate directly to the hotel, but everyone who flies from Prague Airport should know this - After passing through customs control and checking in their luggage at Prague Airport in terminal number one, many passengers of our flight flying on the Prague-Tel Aviv route On October 29, 2015, they discovered at Ben Gurion Airport, having arrived in Israel, that their luggage had been opened, their suitcases had been damaged, things had been disgracefully scattered throughout the suitcases, and valuables had been stolen - mostly expensive jewelry that was easy to hide and take out unnoticed. Among other things, very expensive jewelry, two rings and earrings, disappeared from my luggage. The bag, which was supposed to be hand luggage, passed all the parameters and weighed up to 8 kg. BUT - THE CUSTOMS OFFICER FORBIDDED ME TO TAKE IT AS HAND LUGGAGE, CHECKED IT AS A SECOND SUITCASE, AND DEMANDED TO REMOVE THE LOCK AND CODE FROM THE BAG. When I arrived at Ben Gurion Airport and received my luggage, I saw that the suitcase and bag were damaged, things were scattered haphazardly in the bag and suitcase, and expensive rings and earrings were missing. Jewelry boxes left empty in luggage. Of course, this really darkened the whole holiday. No one expected such dishonesty from the customs workers at Prague Airport, terminal number one. At the same time, the quality of the food is good, the dishes are tasty and well prepared. The only question is the assortment and volume.

Lovely hotel, great location, everything is in the center. It’s a 10-15 minute walk to the springs, but it’s not at all annoying. The rooms are clean, comfortable, the bathroom is bright, new plumbing, large shower. Towels were changed every day. The room is cleaned every day, at 18.00 pm the maid comes in to put chocolates. The staff is polite. They smile, they all speak Russian. As a doctor, I rated the treatment center as excellent, the staff is trying hard. The food at the hotel is not very varied, but you could always choose from several dishes. Pastries and desserts are different. Delicious soups. The waiters monitor the room and immediately remove dirty dishes. The spa center is also good, in the evening after dinner there are no people, you can go and all the saunas and a swimming pool with a jacuzzi are at your disposal.Negatives

I had an early check-in and it was very nice to take advantage of the bonus - early check-in. I would like to note the positive and attentive attitude of the reception specialists. The spa center made a very positive impression - from the number and variety of treatments, the latest equipment to the teamwork of the whole team. I was pleased with the opportunity to use the pool and sauna complex until 21:00. The food in the restaurant was a buffet for breakfast and a buffet/custom menu for lunch and it matched my food preferences. During the entire holiday, I felt individual care and, at the same time, such unobtrusive service of a European level. Thank you for the comfort and coziness! And Karlovy Vary, as always, was beautiful!

The food for vegetarians was not well thought out; we had to constantly remind them that all the food dishes on display had to be signed so that visitors understood what they were eating and not pick at the food. I would also like to note that the staff in the medical complex are not competent enough to operate the equipment. And the swimming pool is very small and is designed for a maximum of four people.

Near the bus station. The Cockatoo Club sucks. Although after 2-3 drinks and after 10 pm you can listen to live music from the 70-80s. A nominal doctor. Nothing at all. By the way, advertising is deceiving. They don’t treat anything except gastritis (drink water from the springs, but it’s free) and the baths are pleasant, but short and unnecessary. The massage is also bad and incorrect. 3-4 procedures of 15 minutes are spread over half a day. They break the day. Then you won’t be able to get anywhere to look around normally. A person doing laser procedures not only has no education and no idea of what, how and why he’s doing it, but he doesn’t even know the name of the laser he’s using. He doesn't know safety precautions either. The rest, except for the massage therapists, only draw and drain baths. There is nothing else there except biofeedback, about which I have already said good words.
