Compared to other sanatoriums we have visited before, Sansoussi was very disappointing. Standard double rooms are very small, it’s impossible for two people to separate, only one person can move, the second must be on the crib, which is also very narrow, it’s not comfortable to sleep on it, although we are not at all overweight... The walls of our room -136 are dirty and apparently scratched by suitcases, for which there is no space in the room. Throughout the hotel, on the floors there are old carpets with frayed and unraveling edges, which are high time to be replaced with new ones.. In the medical department of the green house in front of the offices, they are simply black from dirt and wear.. The food is also not at the level of 4 stars, no frills, no tasty treats there were none, the fruits were cut into small pieces, even small ones like kiwi, why? No salads, just tasty cucumbers and glass tomatoes. From the entire set of dishes on display, it is clear that they are saving on everything... When in the morning we went to drink water and went outside, there was a very strong smell of washing powder, because the laundry is located on the ground floor in the central building and for some reason the whole smell is in front of the entrance to the building , and not in the hood. It’s good that our room was on the other side, otherwise they wouldn’t have been able to open the window.. I am 72 years old. I travel a lot due to professional work and for leisure. There are many beautiful cities in Europe, but Karlovy Vary is a fairy tale town, equally cozy and conducive to relaxation at any time of the year. I regret that I discovered it a little late, but in the last five years I have been here for the fourth time. I chose the Sanssouci sanatorium, to be honest, because I liked the pool with a glass wall. Cool. The comfortable atmosphere in the sanatorium exceeded all expectations. The price-quality ratio leaves much to be desired. Everything is provided here, from meeting you at Prague airport and free transfer to the resort to ordering a taxi or printing out your boarding pass for your return flight. Impeccable work by professional, friendly staff at all levels. I especially note the people on duty at the reception: they will answer all questions, show, tell, explain to the stupid ones, draw a plan, change the currency, tell you what and how and show you to your destination. Excellent rooms, timely cleaning that does not interfere with vacationers, the furniture is simple, but very ergonomic. Wonderful spacious lounges for relaxation: sofas, a library, separate “pockets” on the internal balcony of the third floor (Green House), where you can sit in the company of “like-minded people”. There is a spa salon, hairdresser, manicure, pedicure, in general, everything is as it should be for class 4+. But the cuisine is simply beyond praise, for all tastes, preferences and diets (meat eaters, vegetarians, fruitarians, raw foodists, sweet tooth - no one you will be offended: the choice of dishes is huge and varied) The main thing here is not to overeat: everything is fresh, everything is tasty, prepared with love, the restaurants are beautiful and cozy, conducive to a long meal and a pleasant conversation. Treatment: very convenient - you can pay immediately by booking a room, you can already arrive and, after consulting with a doctor and calculating your finances, choose what you think is necessary. Excellent location of the sanatorium: in a forested area, in the mountains. The air is like a balm. There is a bus stop at the entrance to the sanatorium, bus number 2 will take you to the theater, to the bus station, to the shopping center, to the main Masaryk street. The hotel itself is very large - the first few days you have to literally walk on the map, but when you get used to it, everything is not so scary. The buildings are connected by underground corridors; it took me 6-7 minutes to get from one extreme point to the other. (from the room in building 1 to the treatment area in building 3 / but this takes into account the fact that I walk very fast). What is noteworthy is that the sheet with directions is marked with pictures of different colors - the color indicates the building in which the procedure is carried out, the icon itself corresponds to the sign near the desired room. There is a fountain with healing water in each building. If for some reason you cannot get to the colonnade, feel free to drink water in the building. The bus pass is your room key, or rather its cardboard case - study it carefully. The staff is very polite, they will always help if you have questions or encounter any difficulties. If you want to reschedule procedures for another time, do not hesitate to ask about it. According to the location, if you don’t really like walking or you’re tired, there is a bus every 20 minutes, the stop is right outside the hotel. The central source is 4 minutes by bus. You can also walk - the shortest route takes 16 minutes. As for the nutrition, I liked everything, although there is not so much dietary food. Quite often served - rabbit, duck, lamb, red and white fish, several times there were mussels in shells. There are steamed vegetables, there is always fresh fruit and at least 1 type of dessert - but usually more. Coffee only in the morning. First courses - quite a large assortment. Compared to last year, the quality of food at the Melody restaurant in the Green House has worsened: dishes from fresh fish or seafood are quite rare, the quality of meat preparation sometimes leaves much to be desired, “not for everyone,” as they say. As for fruits, apples are delicious, the rest...so-so. Carrying out medical procedures: in the first week of my stay, for various reasons, three procedures did not take place, and when there were problems with the fourth, I had to contact the manager. The manager is an adequate, attentive woman, with humor and a positive attitude, she resolved the problems and adjusted the schedule. There was some problem with the transfer (no relation to the hotel): last time we weren’t met in Prague and had to get there ourselves, although as an apology they sent us back for free in a separate car. This time from AP Karlovy Vary they brought me to a hotel in another building, despite requests, and I had to drag my suitcases to my own building. We had to refuse the return transfer altogether because the time was extremely inconvenient, namely: leaving the hotel 2 hours 40 minutes before departure (drive 8 minutes to the airport), lunch was skipped and the cost of a group transfer was twice as high as a taxi. The sanatorium does not state a ban on smoking in the building, including balconies. There are no signs prohibiting smoking anywhere, including in text versions. For this reason, having problems with the lungs, I was suffocating from tobacco smoke (universal smoking by vacationers on balconies), could not sleep, and my blood pressure rose to critical. Курение запрещено законом ЧР. Курение в номере под штрафом 2000 Крон и клиент по первой жалобе бывает об этом предупрежден. Дисциплина некоторых наших гостей это другой вопрос. We have been vacationing in Karlovy Vary for more than 10 years. The last 3 times we have been staying at Sansousssi Spa Resort. We used to go to Imperial, but after the crisis, ruble prices there became too high. In Sansoussi you are satisfied with EVERYTHING. Comfortable rooms (although compared to Imperial they are, of course, significantly smaller). Friendly and discreet staff, always clean and tidy rooms. For us, of course, the even side of the rooms in the Blue House is preferable, since it goes directly into the forest. In the morning you wake up to the singing of birds! The food in the hotel restaurant is beyond praise both in terms of choice and quality of preparation. In 2 weeks they manage to practically not repeat the dishes. Just a great SPA and medical treatment area. There is everything you can think of - from a regular sauna with a swimming pool to mud baths and wraps, mineral baths, paraffin treatments, a whole department of electrical procedures, etc., you can’t list everything. Only the pricelist for the proposed procedures takes up a full page in 10th font. Simply amazing WiFi (for those who understand, 150-300Mb/s external), completely covering the entire territory of the sanatorium. You can get to Vrgidlo 1 either on foot (for sports it is about 1.5 km) or by city bus No. 2, the stop of which in both directions is located right in front of the hotel.
