The elevator in Maria SPA only works up to the 1st floor, then you have to wander along the corridors and look for another elevator to get to treatments, eat, or just go outside. This is critical in the morning because... procedures begin early, but you need to have time: 1. Go to the source, return to your room and wait half an hour before breakfast. 2. Get to the dining room and have breakfast. 3. Return to the room, change clothes for the procedures. All this walking took quite a lot of time. The mattress could have been firmer. The pillows are terrible! Serious failure - the kitchen! There are a lot of completely inedible things (grilled vegetables, dried out yesterday’s potatoes in their skins cut into slices, dry “grandmother” made from uneaten noodles, etc.) In the morning, when everyone is in a hurry for the procedure, you have to wait for the milk, cheese, and butter that is quickly running out , coffee pots, milk jugs, etc., etc. It was especially infuriating that there was only one toaster. Is it such a problem to buy a couple more toasters? And by the way, on your website all rooms are presented with bathtubs. We arrived at night and the night porter gave us a room with a shower, although I chose Maria specifically because of the bath. In the morning I had to ask for a room with a bath. This is the second time in Maria Spa, before that we were in Zvezda 3 times. Zvezda has very good rooms and a restaurant, but I didn’t like the treatment (or rather the closets where you take mineral and mud baths). While staying at Maria Spa, treatment takes place in Central Lazne; there are very pleasant treatment rooms here, which lifts your spirits. The rooms in Maria Spa are good, there is a kettle in the room, everything is quiet, because... it is located a little out of the way, but walking through the connecting passages is a pleasure, everything is so beautifully done. It's a slow 10 minute walk to the source. Restaurant in Central Lazne. We enjoyed going to the swimming pool in Zvezda and to the Roman Baths, which are located in Nove Lazne. Everything is connected by passages, you can walk there in dressing gowns. Silence, calm, treatment - and it’s as if time has stopped, so everything is good. In the lobby bar in Central Lazne there is often live music in the evenings, it’s nice to sit, listen, and drink a delicious cocktail.Negatives

Second time at Maria Spa. We really enjoyed it the first time, and this year we are simply delighted. The level of service in the restaurant has improved a lot, the guys work faster and more attentively, it seems to me that the dishes have become tastier and their range has expanded. Treatment is up to standard, most of the employees work conscientiously and are friendly. Dr. Dvorzhanova (I hope I pronounce her last name correctly) was very kind, took into account all our wishes and helped us with the choice of additional procedures. I was pleased to see English-speaking staff, because... my husband speaks only English. In general, it is clear that they are trying to improve the service here. Unfortunately, the overall positive impression is spoiled by poor quality cleaning. Only after a complaint to the receptionist did they vacuum, dust and wet clean the bathroom (sink, bidet, toilet). The next day everything was repeated again, i.e. I went to the reception desk again and made the same comments, because... again they didn’t vacuum, etc. For some reason, one time was not enough to correct these shortcomings...

Communication with doctors leaves much to be desired. Apparently, you yourself need to come armed to the teeth with knowledge of what kind of treatment you want to receive, and simply name the procedures. Even demand. The first time I didn’t know that there was dietary food for diabetics, now I asked, they still didn’t prescribe it, with the words “choose yourself from what is available, no one leads you by the hand at home.” Nowadays, it was impossible to hope to receive help from a doctor in the event of a health problem (inappropriately high blood pressure, for example). Last year was better in this regard. Where you would like to live (floor and other location) must also be required, apparently, otherwise the floor is the highest and the room is the farthest. This is the second time I have suffered like this. The more conflicted neighbor at the table got everything she wanted, precisely by demanding it. This is unpleasant for me. As for nutrition, not everything is good either; people remember that things were much better before. But, of course, you can adapt.

I really liked staying at Maria Spa. The rooms are clean, the furniture is good quality, the bathroom is large, the supplies of shampoo, shower gel, body cream and bath salts were replenished every day. Also, every day when cleaning, bags of tea, coffee and sugar were added. Towels and bathrobes are changed when you throw them on the floor, i.e. as it gets dirty. The colonnade with the Rudolph and Carolina springs is very close. True, by the end of our stay the water in Rudolph ran out). Maybe it's already fixed. The main colonnade is 600 meters away. It was nice to take a walk before eating. The service staff is attentive. Both at the reception and during the procedures themselves. And I also didn’t like the attending physician. She sees in the Central Spa. In the last office in the block where are the nurses and doctors. Unfortunately, I didn’t remember her last name. When I came to find out the test results, she printed them out for me, I looked at the indicators, it seemed to me that my daughter’s AST was too high. She began to ask her, she answered very nervously and pointed her finger at the piece of paper, “What do you see, this is the norm!’ I’m trying to explain that in Russia the norms are somewhat different, she answered me that a heart attack and stroke were waiting for me. Not the first time in Marianske Lazne. I liked Maria Spa not only because it is located quite close to the springs, but also because of the comfortable rooms and the silence in the hotel. The treatment procedures took place in the treatment department of the neighboring Central Lazne Hotel. We went there through a covered passage straight from Maria Spa. Some of the procedures were carried out in Maria Spa itself, where there is a small treatment department. I purchased additional massages directly from the treatment department of Maria Spa, it’s more convenient. The food, despite the fairly large selection of dishes, of course became boring after a week; sometimes we went to dinner in the city in the evenings, skipping dinners at the hotel. In general, I can say that I was pleased with the hotel. it is completely worth the money spent on it
