We have already booked this spa stay several times, this time at the Pro Patria Hotel and were completely satisfied with everything. Everyone involved there - hotel staff and clinic staff - tried very hard to fulfill the wishes of the patients and guests, we could also see that in relation to us and that was very good for us. The applications, which are tailored to our sensitivities, have been very good for us and, as we noticed last year, with a long-term effect that can still be felt at home in the following months. We consider the price-performance ratio to be justified and very well calculated in current times. These previous stays have secured a very high health priority for us and we would be happy to be lucky again in 2024 to be able to book a free period for ourselves. If you find a different practitioner each time during the three individual physiotherapy treatments, which makes it impossible to continue the work of the previous one, then half of the time is wasted with new explanations of the old state of affairs. Here the spa guest must always have the same therapist; it is only for a short period of time anyway. I had previously sent a special email with an attachment regarding the status of the billing documentation in the medical department there, especially the business room. A very big minus: we booked a Comfort room. But, unfortunately, we were forced to live in a room that was equipped for the disabled. Therefore, when using the shower, we had to use a mop to try to drain the water into the drain hole after bathing. For a long time the bathroom remained damp and I had to have separate shoes to stay in there. When we contacted the administrator of the sanatorium, they only replaced the almost rotten cleaning cloth with a new one and could not exchange it for a normal room due to overcrowding... There is not enough calm, relaxing music in the treatment rooms. With the exception of a couple of employees, the majority of employees speak almost no German or Russian. The food in the resort's restaurant leaves much to be desired. It is acceptable, you can eat it, but it doesn’t cause much delight. There are little things that are especially surprising with their hospital atmosphere. For example, stale bread or tea from a samovar that was brewed quite a long time ago... Although probably for a hotel two stars is ok. In any case, you can always go and eat in the city. From the bathing island to the city it is only a 15-minute walk. I only took breakfast and dinner and went to the city for lunch. I had to wait a very long time to see the doctor. When she received me, she was in a hurry. Everything worked out on the fly. I would like more attention. The doctor did not speak Russian and had difficulty understanding English. I'm not sure she understood everything I tried to tell her. Accomodation is good for healthy people, but as I chose Pro Patria and comfort room because of the advertised accommodations for mobility impaired it was a great disappointment: no safety bars, the room not accessible for mobility scooter - I had to keep it in the hallway, no shower chair - after a long discussion I was given a flimsy stool that broke down. It would be nice to have hot water, if not tea, at every meal, not just breakfast. Nothing but cold water for dinner and lukewarm "tea" for supper - whatever it was it didn't taste like tea. As for accomodation, we are able to provide equipment for guests with mobility difficulties, but in the case of more serious conditions, we have barrier-free rooms that can be reserved and are adapted for wheelchairs, for example. We are two stars hotel and board is according to our standards, but hot drinks are each time against payment available. By Covid, we cannot clean the rooms because of the quarantine of the guest, but we are giving cleaning materials, clean towels or other equipment to the guests.
