We felt very comfortable at the Hotel Savoy&Goethe in Franzensbad. The staff and all employees in both the catering and spa areas impressed us with their friendliness and expertise. The outside area of the health resort was not very busy, probably because of the cold season: shops and restaurants were largely closed. The parks and streets are very clean and well maintained. We can recommend the hotel and the health resort; especially for people who are looking for relaxation in a quiet and beautiful environment. The medical care was excellent. Unfortunately, one often heard from the guests that the police are constantly on the move and the "freshly" arrived guests (who have finally found the hotel after a long journey and just before parking to unload their suitcases) are punished mercilessly. A "welcome fine" of 600-2000 Czech crowns is not a motivation to want to visit this spa town again and spend an additional penny there for tips, souvenirs or excursions.
