Windsor Spa Hotel is completely convincing: central, beautiful location near the Mill Colonnade and the healing springs; beautiful, comfortable rooms with historical charm; very good advice from the spa doctor, Dr. Koula; good, healing and soothing treatments; beautiful spa area with 15m swimming pool; helpful and very friendly staff and, last but not least, a locked, monitored hotel car park. We are always happy to come back and are already planning our 7th stay at the Windsor Spa Hotel.Positives

This is the second time we have been to this hotel and, hopefully, not the last. We like absolutely everything, from the reception to the cleaning ladies - all the staff are very polite and friendly. We didn't encounter any problems. With a clear conscience we can recommend it to everyone. The food in the restaurant suits all tastes and preferences. The cook is a great master. The girls in the restaurant are friendly and courteous. We never noticed that anything was missing. The spa department always goes above and beyond. You feel welcome and ready to make your stay at the hotel enjoyable. The doctor is competent. Listens to desires but at the same time takes into account health problems. This is the second time I have been to Windsor and I would love to come back! Super friendly staff, the food is delicious, room facilities are first class, the location is great! Bathrobe and slippers are in the room upon arrival. Bath towels and sheets are provided daily for the sauna area! Parking can be rented for 15 euros per day. Everything is GREAT!Negatives

The location is excellent. It's right next to all of the hot springs fountains. Most of the staff are very hard working and helpful, but some are often grumpy and not welcoming. The people who do the massages and work in the pool area and do the other treatments are very professional and very serious about their work.Negatives
1. Smoking Even though this is spa hotel where people go to improve their health, smoking is allowed in front of the steps of the main entrance that is open 24 hours. So you are exposed to ambient lung cancer whether you want it or not. The only other entrance where smoking is not allowed is not open in the evenings. 2. Rules about loud speakerphone mode There are no signs in the hallways or in the dining room telling people not to play videos or music on speakerphone mode or to have phone or video conversations in speakerphone mode. There was a woman who walked around speaking very loudly on her phone in speaker mode so that anybody could hear both sides of the conversation. When I asked the employees in the dining room to ask the people at a table to stop watching their video or to turn down the volume, they said I should do it myself! It's not right for guests to be telling other guests to be quiet. That's the job of the employees. I told this to the director and he said that he would put up signs telling guests not to use their phones in speakerphone mode and tell the staff that it is their responsibility to maintain quiet in public areas. Most of the guests are elderly and probably have hearing problems and may not realize that when they're speaking really loudly on their phones or playing videos or music that other people can hear. Nobody comes to the hotel to listen to other people's phone conversations or videos. 3. Small print The type size on the schedule of treatments is really small. I had to help somebody who, even though she was wearing glasses, couldn't read where she was supposed to go and at what time. Most of the people at this hotel are elderly and have problems with their vision. So a large type size at least 14 pt, needs to be used for all important documents, especially schedules. 4. Front desk staff lacking some basic info I asked where to get a local map and was sent to a closed tourist info office. A four-star hotel should have its own maps. I asked which ATMs (bankomats) charge no commission or the least amount of commission and the front desk lady said “I am not interested in this information and can’t help you.” This is a common question tourists ask. 5. Not for people with mobility issues If you use a walker, cane or wheelchair, don’t come here. All of the entrances have steps. The elevators are small and don’t fit a person in a wheelchair plus a companion.Positives

On the way back we spent 10 minutes looking at the health resort in Frankebad and parked our car at a parking lot with a parking disc for 10 minutes. Though we only spoke english and very little czech the staff everywhere worked hard to understand . They did an admirable job of explaining the procedures and soothing my anxiety at my worries of not being timly or being understood. They all were so nice and accomadating while remaining 100 percent professional and courteous ! Loved loved loved it. The room was comfortable and clean. A real joy! I definitly would return for more treatments and probably get more treatments and skip the included food plan.Negatives
