Treatment rheumatoid arthritis in Frantiskovy Lazne

Systemic rheumatic disease of the connective tissue, manifested by erosive-destructive lesions of predominantly small joints. The main symptom is directly arthritis, characterized by bilateral symmetric lesions of the joints. Debut of the disease is preceded by fatigue, episodes of arthralgia, asthenia, excessive sweating, low-grade fever, stiffness after waking. Rheumatoid arthritis is accompanied by persistent fever, myalgia and arthralgia, most often affects the joints of the feet and hands, wrists, knees and elbows, rarely the spine, shoulder and hip joints undergo destructive processes. The joints swell, show tenderness when touched, exudate builds up in them, limited mobility, local hyperemia and hyperthermia of the skin develops. Among the extra-articular lesions in rheumatoid arthritis, weakness, hypotonia and muscle atrophy can be distinguished; skin becomes dry and thin; small focal necrosis forms under the nails, causing the development of gangrene of the distal phalanges; nails are deformed and broken; dense, painless nodules appear below the skin between 5 and 20 mm in size, which can also form in the myocardium, lung, and valvular structures of the heart. In severe cases, the gastrointestinal tract, nervous system, respiratory system, kidneys, eyes, heart are affected. The treatment is aimed at achieving remission and slowing down (prevention) of joint degeneration, as well as at stopping the inflammatory processes and pain syndrome. The treatment is predominantly medicamental; therapeutic exercise and swimming are shown. Seronegative rheumatoid arthritis (SNRA) is a rheumatoid arthritis that occurs without the presence of the rheumatoid factor (RF) in the blood. With the correct diagnosis and the correct treatment, seropositive rheumatoid arthritis (SPRA) and SNRA are treated with a single degree of severity. But the healing processes of both types of rheumatoid arthritis are different in each other, therefore, there is nothing that is surprising in the fact that the drugs, used in the treatment of seropositive arthritis are not suitable for seronegative RA, and vice versa. In addition to medical treatment, physiotherapeutic methods, massage, therapeutic gymnastics, special diet, spa treatment are also prescribed.
