It’s a pity that the pool is only open until 17.30 and the chef is unsuccessful, the food is kind of simplified in the way it’s eaten anyway. And in the evening a loaded car drives away from the kitchen, apparently to a subsidiary farm. I rested in the sanatorium in October 2019. Having read the reviews before the trip, I was prepared that the sanatorium had a “Soviet” atmosphere. Yes, the sanatorium resembles a Soviet one, but in its best traditions. I really liked the spacious room with a balcony. The air is just a fairy tale, the view pool. The food is delicious, there are 3 options to choose from. Lots of fish, and I love fish. And the staff is very responsive. In general, Latvia made a very good impression. In 8 days I received complete relaxation (soothing hydrogen sulfide baths, mud for problem joints, mineral water for the digestive tract, therapeutic exercises, swimming in the pool, inhalations, meals according to table menu number 8 (grace) allowed me to slightly reduce weight, and walking with sticks ( 50 km) along the Riga seaside, we returned to further work rested and healthy. For a fairly budget option of staying in a sanatorium, you could give up the disadvantages. But it would be nice, when visiting the pool, to always have the opportunity to bask in the bathhouse, without renting it for an additional fee, and to include at least a couple of massages in the price of the tour.
