Treatment rheumatic heart disease in Konstantinovy Lazne
Rheumatic heart disease is the formation of heart disease (mitral or aortic insufficiency) due to acute rheumatic fever. The disease may be asymptomatic for some time and will be detected by accident. During the course of the disease, patients suffer from skin lividness, swelling, dizziness, fainting or pre-fainting conditions, asphyxiation, progressive dyspnea, coughing, pain under the ribs on the right side, malaise, weight loss, rapid fatigue, and children may lag behind in their physical development. Treatment is primarily medical and includes ACE inhibitors, cardiac glycosides, beta-blockers, diuretics, calcium channel antagonists, antiarrhythmic drugs (as indicated) and blood thinners. In severe cases, surgical intervention is indicated.
