How is treatment carried out in Palanga

Upon arrival at the hotel or spa hotel, the patient is given an appointment with a doctor. At the appointment, the doctor will review the patient's general state of health, clarify the diagnosis and prescribe an individual treatment plan. In some cases, the doctor will need additional indications - then he or she will prescribe laboratory tests (usually a clinical blood test) or additional examinations (e.g. ECG, ultrasound or gastroenterology examination). That is why it is desirable for the patient to bring with him the results of the last (no more than six months ago) laboratory tests, medical examinations and the opinion of the attending physician. This will save time and money for additional examinations.

Feedback from our customers about spa hotels in Palanga

Alain COMTE 30.07.2023

A very nice place to be and good infrastructures. The spa procedures are modern and healthy

the establishment is quicker to apply European standards in terms of prices than in terms of level of service in the rooms and in the restaurant. With a few more smiles, the stay could be perfect !

Well. My wife and I recently spent two weeks in the Spa Hotel Gradiali. We had from the beginning until the end a wonderful time and have nothing to complain about. We were well received, had superb rooms and sophisticated therapeuts. The food was very good and tasty and there was a really broad selection offered every day. The hotel is approx. 500 m away from the beach, which is fantastic. When we rented a car for a few days there was plenty of parking space around the hotel and it cost nothing. All in all: Great experience.

Natural healing factors

Peloidotherapy in Palanga is prescribed for treating musculoskeletal, peripheral nervous system and certain skin diseases. The mud treatment improves microcirculation, eliminates scarring and swelling, triggers regenerative processes, and affects metabolic processes. The main procedures are partial and general mud applications, mud extracts and intra-cavity tampons. Lecithin, which is part of the mud, participates in the formation of the nerve envelopes, which determines the rate of transmission of nerve impulses. Palanga peat mud normalizes the synthesis of chondroitin sulfate, responsible for the growth of cartilage areas, i.e., mud restore joint cartilage.

Peloidotherapy

An important therapeutic factor in Palanga is climatotherapy. The resort is located on the shore of the Baltic Sea and is surrounded by forests that saturate the air with phytoncides of coniferous trees (mainly pine trees). The air in Palanga is also saturated with salts of iodine, bromine, magnesium and chlorine, which together with pine phytoncides forms the effect of natural inhalation. Let's add here the healing properties of sea water, where not only floats, but also prescribes it for rubbing. Swimming in the sea has a complex effect on the body: it improves metabolism, normalizes the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, strengthens the nervous and musculoskeletal systems.

Climatotherapy

In the vicinity of Palanga, springs of sodium-calcium chloride mineral water come to the surface. Its mineralization is 15-35 g/L, the wells go to a depth of 500-550 meters, their flow rate (the volume of liquid coming in per unit of time) ranges from 0.6 to 37 L/sec. Mineral water is used in various therapeutic baths and irrigations, and it is diluted for drinking course. Healing properties of local mineral water are: anti-inflammatory action, thickening of cell membranes, reduction of tissue swelling, normalization of metabolic processes, improvement of lipid metabolism, stimulation of biliary and biliary excretion functions of the hepatobiliary system and secretory function of the glands of the digestive tract.
