Finally, my wife and I were able to come to Royal. We planned the trip a year ago, but quarantine changed our plans. We were very pleased. The service was good, the waiters were quick to complete orders, and the reception girls were pleasant and helpful. We stayed at the ROYAL Hotel (Marianske Lazne) from February 24 to March 4, 2020. We were very pleased, the overall rating of our stay at the hotel was 9 out of 10. The hotel staff made a very pleasant impression - polite and professional. The room was cleaned constantly. All procedures were carried out strictly at the appointed time in full and with a friendly smile. I would especially like to mention the nurse who conducted dry carbon dioxide bath sessions and gas injections. We are grateful to the waitress Ratke for her consistently good mood and attention to our requests. The excursion to Prague on February 27 was well organized. Despite the unfavorable weather, guide Lenka and driver Martin did everything to ensure that we had the best impressions of this beautiful city. It should be noted that the transfer from Karlovy Vary airport to the hotel and back was completed on time, the driver was attentive and impeccably professional. We wish all the staff of the sanatorium to cope with the situation related to the coronavirus pandemic around the world as quickly as possible and continue to give people health and joy.Negatives

The Royal sanatorium made a good impression. Accommodation in the "Lux" is beyond praise. It is also of high quality cleaning, and helpful staff, a beautiful and comfortable room. Good hard mattresses, but this is not for everyone. The food is quite acceptable, the menu alternates with a buffet style, you can order coffee and tea, which is included in the price. Procedures without queues, the medical staff works efficiently, without complaints. The location of the hotel is not bad, you can immediately go for a walk in the forest and geological park. For more than 10 years, we have been traveling to the Czech Republic every year for two weeks to improve our health and relax. These are mainly the sanatoriums of Karlovy Vary and Marienbad. Therefore, a big surprise for my husband and I was our first visit to the doctor, where we were faced with such a dismissive attitude from Dr. Kozlovskaya from the first seconds of communication even at the level of rudeness. Complete dictatorship on her part, unwillingness to listen, a ban on telling the husband if the question was asked to the wife. Throughout our long life, we sat as if under interrogation. There was no talk of a friendly conversation with the doctor, receiving recommendations. As a result, after visiting the doctor, my husband’s blood pressure rose and the nurses had to monitor and give additional medicine. After which we expressed our opinion at the reception and asked to change the doctor. They listened to us and helped. The food is not suitable for people who are on a cure. Far too much salt and hot spices in all dishes, all salads with vinegar. I could only eat cucumbers and tomatoes at all meals and had stomach pains the whole week, even though I didn't eat coffee, alcohol or sweets. I came home with a sick stomach. This really bothers me, I have to go to the doctor now.

This is the fourth time I've stayed at Royal. And this is the main assessment of the hotel. There is no even desire to try something different. Thank you to Mrs. Kozlovskaya for your attention, all the staff are very friendly, it’s nice that they remember and greet you very warmly. I am completely satisfied with the quality of treatment and food in the sanatorium. Previously, the start of procedures is from 07.00. Inconvenient schedule of procedures (from 7 to 10) with almost no time for breakfast and no time for drinking courses (45 minutes before meals), or you need to get up at 5.30 and have time to run to the springs and be back for the procedures at 7, but I wanted to sleep ( no matter how long-awaited vacation). I tried to change the schedule of procedures, but it didn’t work out because everything was busy :((((( Gas injections are always from 7 to 8, and there is always a queue, the whole hotel must be done in an hour. Not all procedures from the advertisement are available. Food: Salads were not always fresh, but on Sunday 02/09/2020 they were spoiled:((((((There was no drinking water. (or at the bar for money), Juice only for breakfast. Fruits only apples and bananas (sometimes oranges) and only for dinner.

It was our first time. The city is clean. The colonnade is nearby. The forest is nearby. Excellent air. The procedures are expected. I really enjoyed the excursion to Prague.Negatives
The food at the hotel is rated 3. And a visit to the doctor is just a formality. The registration took 15 days. On the 1st day we arrived at lunchtime (there was no doctor) on the 2nd day the doctor saw us. And accordingly, treatment was delayed on day 3!!!! There are no procedures on Saturday and Sunday either. But this is 4 days and this is not correct. Then take 6 days just as accommodation!!.Answer from Spa Hotel Royal
