This is my third time staying at the Aquamarine Hotel. I like the sparseness of the hotel, the silence (unlike big hotels).. Excellent daily quality of room cleaning, good, efficient work of the staff at the reception, good cuisine in the restaurant. I would especially like to thank Janos - he does excursions. Janos works conscientiously, punctually, and does everything in his power to ensure that the guests are satisfied. This year I rested without treatment. But last year and the year before (August-September) I received a little treatment.. Visiting the rooms (massage, mud, traction, etc.) left a very pleasant impression. Nice pool! We visited the Aquamarine sanatorium for the second time, because the treatment on our last visit helped. The procedures I was prescribed were mainly those recommended by my regular attending physician in St. Petersburg, so they were very targeted. Qualified and kind medical staff. For those who love meat, good dinners. There are quite a lot of fruits. Rooms were cleaned and linen was changed on time. For our late arrival and on the day of the excursion to Vienna, a large dinner was left in our refrigerator. There is an electric kettle in the room. Negative (for us specifically). Still, in the heat it’s quite difficult to climb the mountain after the lake (we are about 70 years old). We were accommodated on the ground floor this time overlooking the parking lot, despite the not-cheap room in building B. Therefore, the balcony could only be used for hanging wet swimsuits. There is a strong smell of hydrogen sulfide (?) in the corridor from the semi-basement where the healing pools are located, which we did not notice last time, living on the second floor. There is a clear lack of fresh vegetables in the diet at the height of summer. Drinks in the evenings are paid, we don’t mind, but the tea you can order is terrible: bags of unknown origin and barely warm water. Br-r. Hungarians don’t seem to drink tea at all as we understand it. so we brewed something we brought with us in our room. However, you can adapt to this. If we go to this sanatorium in the future, I will specifically specify the location of the room. I will also find fault with the fact that I was never prescribed laser treatment, then I saw in the price list that this is a rather expensive procedure, but we paid for the treatment package right away, the doctor apparently calculates the appointments based on the price, saving money.

I had little time and few procedures (5) to write details, but I tried what spinal traction is. This is a useful thing, after three procedures the lower back calmed down, and at the same time I did not forget about independent daily exercises. I went for a massage twice. Naturally, the result is small, but I really liked the work of the massage therapist (M5), I felt every muscle, found the most neglected places in terms of health, and tried to restore them. It’s very convenient that the resort itself has its own swimming pool with a thermal source, so you don’t have to spend it on a trip to Lake Heviz. It is enough to visit once, as an introduction and comparison, and understand that your pool is no worse. Aquamarine allows you to save money on this. The location of the hotel is quite convenient. The food is excellent, varied, tasty, even ice cream. I liked it very much. The hotel itself is quiet, calm, not very crowded (from 1.07 to 8.07), all treatment is somehow evenly distributed, there are no queues, there was no jostling even in the dining room. They cleaned the room every day and changed the towels. The room is spacious and has everything you need for everyday life: hairdryer, refrigerator, air conditioning, TV with Russian channels. There were always Russian-speaking employees from travel agencies at the hotel. They could help in solving communication problems, especially when you don’t know anything other than Russian.Negatives

The transfer driver was about 15 minutes late. But the dispatcher Katerina resolved the issue in 5 minutes, she called herself after the message. We are very grateful to her, because you understand that when you find yourself in a foreign country. The only thing I would like is for there to be air conditioners.

Without information that it is not always possible to get a doctor’s consultation before treatment, I had to choose procedures for the first 5 days at my own peril and risk. Then it turned out that some procedures were generally prohibited for me. Dinner does not include drinks at all, not even tea. You have to pay for this. Illogical.

We waited for a Russian-speaking representative of sanatoriums.com to see a doctor, but in vain. The payment included two appointments with a doctor, but one was very interesting. We chose the procedures for ourselves from a brochure in Russian, but whether they suit us or not is a question. In the restaurant, the behavior of the person in charge (an elderly man), to put it mildly, is strange. The massage was prescribed for my legs and back, but the tall masseuse with brown hair decided to do only the back. Therefore, I would like to know the names of the specialists who work with the patient. In physio, very noisy.
