Mariánské Lázně has wonderful architecture and spa facilities. Unfortunately, the condition of some hotels and houses is neglected. The Belvedere tennis facility should be better maintained and serve as a spa treatment option.

If you are slightly disabled and the hotel (Falkensteiner) is on the second level, the climb will be a bit difficult. Otherwise there are beautiful hiking opportunities. Luckily there was no snow this time. Last year we had a lot of snow when we arrived. To our regret, the paths were not cleared or gritted, which led to some slipping. For a spa town like Marienbad, the top priority would be to clear the paths to ensure spa guests have an accident-free stay.
