Hotel St. Lucas is located in a remote town not far from the border. To travel by public transport, you need to make a plan because there are few buses. The town is a resort, surrounded by forests and mountains, the opportunities for walking are good, but for long trips into the forest you need sports shoes and physical fitness. The hotel is wonderful. The territory is well-groomed, in the courtyard there is a great place to relax outside - sun loungers, grass, a small outdoor pool, possibly for active games - badminton, frisbee, ball. Inside there are several halls and a bar - to sit in the campaign and relax. There are 3 saunas, open until 10 pm. The staff is diligent and friendly.Negatives
The visit to the doctor remained unclear. Instead of a doctor, we filled out a questionnaire and had a conversation with a physiotherapist. No cereal for breakfast. Sometimes they served sweet rice, a strange dish. I would like to see puffed oatmeal, rice porridge, or corn porridge. The quality of bread products was disappointing. Small selection of baked goods for lunch, very limited selection of fruits.

Miraculously, the remaining corner of the “Soviet-style” service, already forgotten by many, remained in the Polish sanatorium St. Lukas in Świeradów-Zdrój (Bad Flinsberg). Accommodation: The rooms are not equipped with climate control or even air conditioning, and during the day the room is quite stuffy. On cold nights (several nights it was +8+10) the heating did not turn on - saving is everything! The bed was not changed even once during our 2 weeks stay. Towels began to be changed only after persistent request. As they said at the reception, they usually do this 2 times a week. Mattresses and pillows probably still remember their “Komsomol youth”. Procedures: You must come to all procedures with your own sheet and towel. For all. Massages, baths, mud wraps, electrical treatments... They are changed just like the towels in the room. That is, not even every day. You can forget about hygiene. Magnetic therapy, for example, is carried out in a common room for 6-8 people. Such joint Soviet treatment. Medical equipment is old. Its functionality is questionable. But the most interesting thing begins with the first “doctor’s examination”, which is carried out at the reception desk. When asked if the woman behind the counter was a doctor, she answered emphatically that she was a Master! Her job, within 2 minutes, without getting up from her chair, was to draw up a schedule of so-called procedures. Without examining or even questioning patients, at his own discretion. Although, given the “quality” of these procedures, she fully complied with them. Meals: A full meal package was purchased for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meals were served in the dining room (it would be hard to call this a restaurant) on a buffet basis. A choice for lunch and dinner of one meat and sometimes one fish dish, plus porridge, potatoes and vegetables. For example, pieces of stewed pork and hake fried in dough. Or meatballs and the same hake but stewed. Of course, there were also two types of vegetable soup, sliced cheese, sausage and vegetables. There were dumplings with potatoes (though half-raw), jellied meat (on the second day of standing it had a pale appearance), vegetable zrazy (not in demand, so it sat in distribution for three days). As a rule, meat dishes and side dishes not eaten for lunch gradually migrated to dinner. I was especially impressed by the coarsely chopped pieces of bananas for dessert in June, at the height of the strawberry season. On some days there were apples from last year and pieces of sliced oranges. I listed only what caused the greatest “delight.” The general impression is that in any factory canteen the range and quality are much higher. General impression: a spa hotel positioning itself as a 4-star hotel deserves not stars, but stars in terms of service, accommodation, and treatment facilities. I can only recommend it to people who are nostalgic about the Soviet Deputies.

I was on vacation for the first time, the sanatorium is located in a picturesque location, a beautiful architectural ensemble of buildings, secure parking. The service is excellent, the staff is polite and smiling, the procedures are varied. Hope to be back again soon. I recommend - suitable for any age. (minus: there are no ramps or diving facilities for wheelchair users before entering the pool and jacuzzi)

The fact that medicinal mineral water had to be bought at the reception. The fact that there is no tea at lunch, only compote. The classic massage is given by 2 men, so-so stroking. Everyone was not happy with them and went into town and bought an additional massage for themselves with money. They do a good massage 2 women in St.Lukas. There is no trash can in the rooms, only in the toilet. On Saturdays and Sundays, a tall girl works at the reception all the time, not happy and incompetent. Always without a clue where to get a cue for billiards., where is the billiards, fitness room, .It seems that you don’t know at all what and where it is. Not friendly.

We really liked everything. We were especially pleased that everyone in the sauna was in swimsuits. The food in the first week of our stay was very varied (lots of delicious salads), in the second week the choice suddenly decreased sharply, maybe due to the large influx of guests, because of the holidays, that was our guess. A big plus: there is a place to walk in the forest, up the mountain on a ski lift, or just through the fields. Our room was spacious and clean, like the rest of the hotel.Negatives
We really regretted that we did not take into account the holidays in Poland. The pool was overcrowded, I didn’t even want to go there. More often than not, there was no one to keep order, or in the evening he just sat in the corridor with his phone. On the 4th and 5th floors there is a stink (especially at night) from the drain in the shower. Tip: take a thin bag or film, put it on the drain and pour water on top, the film sticks and there is no smell. There is no use in complaining, nothing happens. Everyone is very polite, except for the ladies at the reception, who are very arrogant. It's good that I didn't have to deal with them often.

Two weeks of relaxation at the Sant Lucas sanatorium left only positive memories! Room, restaurant, medical procedures. We were very pleased. First, and hopefully not last, stay at this sanatorium. I recommend to improve your health in this sanatorium. Price - Quality guaranteed! Comfortable beds, daily cleaning, very tasty, varied food, in the form of a buffet three times a day, we really liked it. Swimming pool, saunas, fitness... Without a doubt, this is an excellent choice!
