Everything about the Belorus sanatorium is arranged conveniently for vacationers. First of all, convenient information on the Internet. I saw everything that was described on the website when I arrived at the sanatorium. My husband and I arrived at 24 hours. Night. Within 10 minutes we were already in our room and could relax. All the registration was done in the morning and also very quickly without any incidents. We were immediately sent to have breakfast and then to a doctor’s appointment. There was no bureaucracy. All personnel work harmoniously, regardless of the work performed. The cafe where we ate, many thanks to them. Everything is delicious and very filling. The women serving the tables were simply wonderful, friendly, always smiling. The doctors are professionals, they paid great attention to my husband’s and my illnesses, prescribed treatment, and the nurses who administered the procedures strictly followed the instructions. It felt like professionals were working! The sanatorium was impeccably clean. The rooms are cleaned daily. And what a pool!!! Just a fairy tale! And what nature is around! I didn't like the procedure planning process. In my opinion, such planning became outdated 40 years ago. In other sanatoriums, we received a schedule of procedures, where for each day it was scheduled at what time you had a certain procedure. Here we had to make such a schedule ourselves every evening. You are given a spa book, where the procedures and the time required to perform them are written down, practically without taking into account the fact that a certain time must pass between some procedures, not to mention the fact that after taking one procedure you need to have time to get dressed and run to another, which may be carried out in completely different building. I would also like to note the disgusting organization of excursions. We relied on the organizer, planned and paid for an excursion to Vilnius, refused lunch, but no one was waiting for us on the excursion at the appointed time. I had to contact the reception, many thanks to the reception employee, she quickly established that the excursion would not take place... I naively assumed that in this case we should have been warned about this in advance. We got our money back, but our mood was ruined for the whole day. And although we stayed in the sanatorium for another whole week after that, the organizer of the excursions did not even consider it necessary to apologize.

It would be nice to improve the ventilation in the gym... the air is very stale. Especially in hot weather, you can smell the rubber mats. It's strange that there are no windows that open.

We liked the modern living conditions. We had a two-room junior suite. Very worthy. But some furniture (table and chair) would be nice on the balcony. I really liked the pool, convenient visiting hours, lots of different fountains, jacuzzi, etc. Fast and friendly waitresses. Good breakfast buffet. A varied selection of dishes, many options for hot dishes. Very quiet in the room. We were afraid that there would be noise from the elevator and people in the corridor, because... the room was opposite the elevator. But there was no noise at all. The resort is not crowded. There was a lot of activity on the weekend, probably the locals were coming. Very well maintained, flower beds everywhere, cleanliness. We rented bikes and rode in a nearby pine forest.Negatives
It is necessary to take into account that the sanatorium also houses a children's camp. The children didn’t really interfere, but we constantly crossed paths with them. Children in wheelchairs with cerebral palsy had a depressing impression. For those who are not ready to contemplate them every day, it is better to choose another vacation spot. I didn't really like the custom menu for lunch and dinner. Place your order many days in advance. The dishes were unfamiliar and did not always turn out to be tasty. Very few procedures were prescribed, although there were no contraindications. The doctor was not happy when I asked to add something else. I barely begged paraffin for my hands. There were no staff at the pool to monitor visitors. We had to look for a long time for someone who could turn on the waterfalls on the back. He was turned off very quickly, the second person did not have time to massage after him.

And they sat on the porch themselves or left. And I had to close the door when going outside in a swimsuit after the jacuzzi and sauna. I caught a cold and went for inhalations. It would be better to organize the work according to the schedule of procedures for clients: everything is filled out manually and there are several thick logs - this leads to errors and confusion (we have witnessed such moments). The terminal at the hotel reception did not always work, and sometimes the attendant was not on site at all. I would like a more varied entertainment program in the evenings.

The room corresponds to the description and is very comfortable. The cleanliness of the room, daily cleaning, the politeness and hospitality of all the staff was a pleasant surprise. This is my first visit to the sanatorium and there is no way to compare the quality of the procedures, but it seems to me that all the procedures are at a fairly high level. I would like to increase the massage time to 20 minutes. I have never visited Therapeutic Gymnastics before, I thought it was “empty”. But after the LH at the Sanatorium, Belarus realized that this was SUPER. Overall, I liked all the procedures and staff. Well, a swimming pool with mineral water is twice Super, but if you increase the operating time to 2200 it will be even better.Negatives
I did not see any disadvantages during my stay. At the first moment, or rather on the first day, I was shocked by the unusual nutrition system. But later I liked the “portioned food” system. I got up from the table without feeling hungry, but without overeating. Even with this option, plus 1 kg. The food was filling and quite enough, but I’m not a gourmet. So this is not a minus, but perhaps a plus. The only downside is probably the small round tables in the dining room. It's too small for 3 people.

It is not clear the purpose of the children's playroom, which is open 3 hours a day and only children whose adults are busy with procedures at this time can be there. As a result, the employee sits alone for all these 3 hours or, at best, there is 1 child there. Separately, I would like to note the error sanatoriums.com made when filling out the application, where the price for accommodation, treatment and food for a two-year-old child was incorrectly indicated. It is good that the sanatorium administration quickly resolved this issue on its own. The answer from sanatoriums.com came only on the last day of our stay and that was not to the point..

Sanatorium "Belarus" is located in the picturesque town of Druskininkai, not far from the city center, surrounded by a pine forest. There are asphalt paths for walking and cycling in the forest. The territory and buildings of the sanatorium look well-kept. My room was located in the main building on the 9th floor. Room bright, spacious with a balcony. The furniture and plumbing are quite new. The residential and medical parts of the sanatorium are very clean. Rooms are cleaned and towels are changed daily, bed linen is changed once a week. The technical and medical staff are mature, professional, very friendly. Everyone is fluent speaks good Russian. The food is good and sufficient, there are dietary dishes. The pool is above all praise, very spacious. I was pleasantly surprised that the supervising doctor Algis Shukevicius, the first of the sanatorium doctors I had previously encountered in the Czech Republic and Belarus, read my medical history and gave some valuable recommendations for the future. It was unpleasantly surprising that when prescribing medical procedures, those procedures that I usually received in other sanatoriums in Belarus and the Czech Republic were offered for an additional fee for a paid trip. This concerned gas injections, mud baths, lymphatic drainage, and a salt cave. Visits to the pool were rationed. A council of a businessman, a chief physician, and a supervising physician allowed daily visits to the pool (which is a priori determined by the commercial offer) and hardware lymphatic drainage. A list of procedures included in the package and paid additionally must be published explicitly so that the client can decide on the sanatorium in advance. The presence of archaic resort books in which the prescribed procedures are manually entered, and the client must manually draw up a daily schedule plan or for the entire period of stay in the sanatorium, although there are computers on the desks of employees. Due to the lack of a consolidated schedule plan, delays or omissions of procedures occur. There is no control over the behavior of visitors in the pool.
