Close to the lake, very convenient. The room is good, there is enough space, a large wardrobe, a table, a cabinet with a TV, a minibar and drawers, 2 chairs, another table and bedside tables. The bathroom is quite decent, everything functions, there is always hot water with good pressure, washing is a pleasure. Everything was fine with the procedures, although the doctor’s orders were not always followed in the mud. The staff (almost all) are quite friendly.Negatives
The maids clean the room so-so. Food is a separate story. In 11 days I ate decent soup a couple of times. Perhaps there is no point in describing further: the choice is small, almost everything is tasteless, baked goods - no good, fruits - apples, oranges, sometimes bananas. In general, the canteen has nothing to do with four stars.

Food was horribly over salted, I complained to the sanatoriums.com member of staff Victor, who is always very helpful and he directed me to Marina, who was a representative, staying locally in Heviz. After my complain the food became edible. The driver was 2 hours late to meet us at the Vienna Airport and the other one who was giving us a ride to Vienna on our return wanted to take us to Budapest instead of Vienna. Thank God when we started to speak he realised that we must go to Vienna. There was also a difficulty that the staff in the hotel don't speak English or Russian, but they were rather polite and ready to respond.

The biggest plus was the Hotel Spa location. Easy close access to the thermal lake and a short walk to 'downtown'. Although 'rated' as a 4-star hotel, based on our experience it is 3-star.Negatives
As stated in other reviews, the pillows are in need of updating as they are very lumpy and do not provide much support. The food was okay but there were a lot of fried dishes and processed meats. You would think a health spa would provide a healthier choice.

All just great. We were met at the airport upon arrival and immediately taken to the Hotel. On the way, the driver Sergei told us about all the sights of this wonderful place and suggested what we should pay attention to and where to visit. At the reception we were checked in in five minutes and after 10 minutes we found ourselves in the thermal lake and enjoyed warm water, blooming water lilies and nature filled with aromas appropriate to this place. From the very first day at the SPA reception, we had a perfectly convenient schedule for attending treatments. The doctor prescribed the procedures for us on the first day in accordance with our problems. All procedures were of high quality, the staff was highly qualified. Our room overlooked the forest and being in it we felt like we were just in the forest. The incessant, singing birds created a wonderful harmony of tranquility. The quality of food corresponds to a decent resort. The range of food is small, but everyone will definitely find what they need. Main quality. What we personally would ask the hotel management to pay attention to is the brunch. Due to the morning visit to the lake and the procedures, it would not be bad if breakfast ended at 11 o’clock, and not at 10, as it was at the hotel. But we adjusted to the regime and had great fun. The staff is very polite. The ideal location of the hotel, you won't find a second one like it in Havis. At this hotel you will receive an unlimited bracelet for visiting the lake and thanks to this you can stay in it as much as your heart desires. And most importantly, you don’t have to stand in line to buy a ticket. This way you will save both time and money. Be sure to walk around this wonderful town, eat Italian ice cream, they sell it on every corner, but Italian ice cream is only in one place, in a side street before reaching the square. The owner of the restaurant is a real Italian and so is the saleswoman, you can tell right away. If you don't know the flatbread, try it, it's very close to the ice cream parlour. Be sure to visit the Römer Keller restaurant on the “wine hill” with a wonderful view, excellent food and friendly staff who speak all languages. We recommend fish soup and game according to your taste. We had a great time in Havis and we wish you the same. I had a rest at the Hotel Spa Heviz in September. I liked everything except the cuisine: everything was monotonous, not varied, few dishes. No change in 14 days, the same dishes. You definitely have to find another chef. The hotel does have a good reputation. The location is the best. The hotel staff is very good. Thanks! I'm looking for another hotel for next year.
