We vacationed at the Heviz SPA from December 29, 2018. to 01/07/2019. We celebrated the New Year at the hotel club - the program was excellent, the host had good vocal abilities and humor, a chic variety show and good musical accompaniment for the evening, a varied table and drinks. I was surprised by the delicious Hungarian Soviet champagne. The Russian-speaking vacationers were treated to the attention of the most charming hotel employee Inna during the evening and during the entire period of their stay. I am very grateful to her for everything. I would like to cancel the best location of this hotel to Lake Heviz relative to all other hotels in Heviz: less than 2 minutes in a straight line from the steps of the hotel to the entrance to the radon complex and a little further in a straight line a couple of minutes and the city center. And no 73 steps with a drop of 30 meters from Danubius Heviz to the lake... And visits to the lake are not limited and are included in the price of accommodation. The medical facilities at the hotel are good (the best treatment is in Danubius Heviz), take pictures (MRI, etc.) with you to the doctor’s appointment, we took an extract from the Pyatigorsk sanatorium and a translation into German. All necessary procedures were assigned to us and additional ones were available for an additional fee. The thermal pool is very intimate, but during our period it was free, not like the teeming swamp in Danubius Aqua (my employee and his family were vacationing there at the same time as us), and even the classic room in our hotel is larger and more comfortable. The food at the hotel is of high quality and quite varied for this 4-star European category. The breakfast selection can be easily varied. If you want to constantly hamster (like in Turkey), relax in Danubius Aqua. The dining area is very cozy. The overall impression of our stay was excellent. We recommended this hotel to our friends. On the same day, for the May holidays, they booked a room with a view of the lake (special thanks to Inna again). The food is terrible, all the dishes are tasteless, as if the cooks deliberately spoiled good products, there was repetition of dishes for breakfast (the same porridges for 10 days), on 6 and 7 there was no butter for breakfast, according to the waiter - it’s all over, eat margarine! And this is in a 4 star hotel? The treatment is incomprehensible - in 6 massages I visited 3 massage therapists. Is that really how they do it??? Room cleaning is poor. It is located in a beautiful park in front of the lake, you can walk around in bathrobes, it is very convenient, it allows you to save time and not carry unnecessary things with you. The hotel is small, with good medical facilities, all procedures are done efficiently, the staff speaks Russian. The package for 21 days of stay included 30 treatment procedures. The procedures are prescribed by the sanatorium doctor. I brought a flash drive with an MRI to my appointment with the doctor. She did spinal traction, mud, massage, therapeutic exercises, electrophoresis, and visited a swimming pool with thermal water and hydromassage. I was vacationing alone, but the hotel had a lot of Russian-speaking vacationers from different countries. I met girls from Germany, France, Israel, Ukraine and Russia, all very nice people, it was never boring. My room was very cozy, I was pleased with the lamps, which were exactly as much as needed, an excellent bed, wonderful pillows, a blanket, a mattress and bed linen, which was changed several times in two weeks. When it was cool, you could easily walk to the lake in a warm robe without wearing a jacket. Here it must be said that this hotel is located closest to the thermal lake baths. That's why I chose him. The restaurant had delicious and well prepared food, vegetables, fruits, juices, coffee and tea. The room was cleaned every day, towels were changed as many times as you asked, at least several times a day. I am also very pleased with the treatment. The doctor was attentive and prescribed useful procedures. The hotel has a thermal pool, which I also liked. The main complaint is about the food. Heviz is an international resort, and the cuisine at the hotel is exclusively Hungarian, which is not suitable for everyone. I would like more variety towards “calm” dishes, without a lot of spices. Surprisingly, except for breakfast, there are no fresh vegetables! Only pickled. There is no plain water at dinner, only to order, like other drinks - last year there was.

Heavily peppered, the vegetables are sometimes cut so that they don’t fit into your mouth and the recipe is strange, like “noodles + peas”. There are no salt shakers on the tables. Restaurant waiters need to more often monitor the availability of napkins and cutlery in the room. There are few salads made from fresh vegetables, many are heavily pickled, which is harmful to health. You need more baked meat and fish, not fried. The transfer from the hotel to Vienna airport made a negative impression on us. The driver did not speak Russian at all, he talked all the way while driving with the passenger sitting next to him, and brought us to the wrong terminal, i.e. to No. 1, and even then across the road, but it turns out we needed to go to No. 3, so we had to walk a long way with our suitcases. The driver did not help us move our suitcases even across the road, although we paid him 2 euros more than we were supposed to pay for the transfer. It would be nice if the driver helped at least a little.

We rested from May 24 to June 7. We were met at the airport and taken to the hotel without any problems. I immediately really liked the location of the hotel. Cozy park, lake nearby. The hotel staff is polite and tries to sort out any problems that arise. The medical staff has at least a minimum knowledge of the Russian language. The head doctor speaks Russian quite decently. Inna and Anatoly also help to sort out all the questions. Anatoly represents the travel company 1000 roads, which organizes many interesting excursions. The quality of treatment in my opinion is good, but the lake is a fairy tale. The weather allowed us to relax in the fresh air near the lake, in the shade of trees (or sunbathe) there were never any problems with sun loungers. The food is also normal, everyone could choose something to their liking. A very good promenade, many interesting boutiques and a huge selection of swimsuits starting from 15 euros and.... I advise you to attend an oil tasting (travel company 1000 roads) I discovered pumpkin and hazelnut oils. Robes and towels are changed upon request. The rooms were cleaned every day.Negatives

We booked a Standard room, overlooking the forest. We were placed in a room overlooking the lake, on the ground floor, right above the pool, which had hydraulic pumps installed that worked almost all day and all this noise was in the room. When I asked for an exchange, I heard a lot of unpleasant things, and with great reluctance they offered another room in the same place, where the noise was a little quieter. I had to drag myself. After 3 days they said that the day before departure they needed to move back to their previous room, because... this one is reserved for someone else. Again they frayed my nerves and forced me to drag myself again, citing the fact that the hotel was small and there were no other places. It is still not clear why they chose me as the object of their executions and kept me there the whole time I was there. After my indignation was supported by other guests, as compensation, they offered a free lunch and extended the check-out by 2 hours. I travel a lot, but this is the first time I’ve encountered such unceremoniousness. Of course, this pandemonium ruined the entire impression of being there and the hope for treatment. Having moved to another hotel, I had great pleasure.

The management of the sanatorium is disingenuous when it positions the entire hotel as 4 stars. In fact, half of the rooms are 3 stars, which is indicated at the entrance to the building with classic rooms. Standard rooms (4 stars) are very unequal, and there is a risk of getting into a room above the thermal pool - if the motors for underwater massage are turned on in the pool, it is impossible to stay in the room, it is all shaking. I was not pleased with the level of room cleaning - very sloppy. Linen is not changed unless you specifically ask. True, robes and towels are changed upon request
