If someone wants incredible luxury, then this is not here. But there is comfort, warmth, order. Pleasant staff and the latest medical equipment, hivamat, for example. An attentive and understanding doctor, sympathetic and responsive procedural nurses. The food is adequate, but there is no arguing about tastes. Some dishes were cancelled, some were not. I didn't have enough gluten-free bread, for example. I had to eat without bread at all, which I don’t regret. The biggest plus is the proximity to the lake, for me this is more than important. Two negative points. The first is a rather strong smell of hydrogen sulfide in one of the parts of the residential building. Many people don’t pay attention to this, it bothered me. However, I was able to change the room to a more suitable one without any problems, thanks to the receptionist for his understanding. The second is the work of maids. We noticed that on one shift they clean better, on another it’s not so good. Moreover, the facial expressions of the maids and their friendliness correspond to the quality of the cleaning.

I was in the sanatorium from 01/04-01/15/18. The hotel is located very conveniently, next to the lake. The hotel provides unlimited access to the lake (bracelet) and medical treatments. There are no complaints about the food, except for one: there is no tea or coffee for dinner. In my opinion, this is a big minus. After eating, go to your room and boil the kettle there. For dinner they serve confectionery, which is not allowed to be taken outside the restaurant, and there are no drinks. The staff is polite and smiling, they always try to help, however, the only Russian words they know are “hello”, “please” and “cheers”. The doctor is very attentive and friendly. The hotel employee Inna is very helpful. Promptly resolves all issues regarding treatment and stay at the hotel. Much gratitude to her for this. It is necessary to register your plane ticket before leaving the hotel, because... At the airport this procedure (check-in) costs money. The reception was unable to help with this, although three attempts were made, alas, to no avail. Inna helped, for which special thanks to her. In general, I'm happy with my stay, I recommend the hotel.Negatives
On the negative side, I would like to note the poor quality of cleaning, if you can call it cleaning. According to the staff, cleaning consists of changing towels and taking out trash. Wet cleaning was done only after my reminder at the reception. We did it about three times after that, then again limited ourselves to taking out the garbage. The bed was changed once during the 12 days of my stay; I didn’t need more. The bathrobes are washed out, with fringes at the edges, it is no longer appropriate to offer them to clients. I didn’t take a transfer from the hotel, it’s expensive, because... I was alone, 120 euros/person. I ordered on sanatoriums.com, where the price per person is 79 euros. Although it is not clear why 79€, because... No one offered 1€ change either there or back, they are perceived as a tip. The road from Budapest airport to the hotel takes two hours, 190 km, of course, tiring. WI-FI is weak. Upon arrival, I had to spend a lot of time to get it up and running and to be able to tell my family about myself.

Staying at the Spa Hotel Heviz left only the best memories. The thermal lake is located 200-300 meters from the hotel, since during our stay the weather was beautiful, it was possible to walk from the hotel to the lake in bathrobes. The hotel and clinic staff are very attentive to their guests and patients and respond instantly to any requests. It is very pleasant that almost all employees try to speak Russian. We were in a standard room, but we looked at the classic and economy rooms, absolutely no worse, perhaps a little smaller and without a balcony. We were there in January and of course we didn’t need a balcony, we could save money. The rooms are cozy, there are bathrobes, a hairdryer, a safe, towels and bathrobes are changed upon request if they are thrown on the floor. Linen is changed once every 3 days. There is a kettle, tea, coffee and sugar, which are replenished daily if you have drunk everything. The staff are all very helpful, attentive and friendly. A very pleasant doctor, he advises treatment and listens to your wishes. The schedule of procedures is consistent and convenient, maybe this is because there were few guests at that time. All the staff in the medical building are very attentive, it was a pleasure to go to the procedures. The food in the hotel restaurant is good, the buffet is decent, corresponds to 4. For lunch there is free soup, if this is not enough for you, you can buy a main dish and/or dessert. The second course with dessert costs 10 euros. The portions are very large, you can take one dish for two. We were in the Donabius Heviz 4 super hotel in 2014, I think there is no point in overpaying. The treatment is the same, the standard and conditions in the rooms are the same. The hotel does not have a regular pool, but it makes up for this with unlimited access and the proximity of the lake. We will come again and only here, I will recommend it to friends and acquaintances, especially those with walking disabilities. Yes, there is a slight smell of hydrogen sulfide on the 0th floor, it’s a little in the morning when they fill the pool with water, I don’t consider it a minus. I want to come to this warm (in all respects) and cozy hotel again. This is not an advertisement for the hotel, this is a review of people who have visited many resorts in Hungary and the Czech Republic and have always lived in 4*. This is a place for people who come for treatment and, of course, to relax. 12 days of relaxation in the middle of winter, swimming in the lake, water 25, air from -2 to -6, but swimming outside is comfortable, especially when the sun is shining. We are not young people, we are over 55, and my husband had a stroke, but we swam only on air.Negatives

The renovations during my stay were “pleasantly surprising” and did not have the best effect on the quality of treatment. The apartment with a “lake view” turned out to be an apartment whose windows are located in the direction of the lake. The staff was disappointing, especially the massage therapists. I got the impression that massage therapists have no idea about muscles and their functioning. I myself work in a rehabilitation center with very complex patients and their injuries. The restaurant under the windows of the room - this more than “doubled” the effect of the therapies. Lawn mowers cutting the grass in front of the window at 6.00. Changes are needed.
