Upon arrival, the room smelled foul of sewerage, they immediately reported this, but the plumbers only came on the 3rd (!) day and eliminated the stench. There are no tablecloths in the dining room, which was an unpleasant surprise. The treatment would be good if it weren’t for having to literally fight for every procedure and sit in line with vacationers nervous from everything that’s happening. The lack of strict adherence to the schedule was very disappointing, so I don’t want to go back.

On the day we arrived, many more vacationers arrived and the staff could not cope with the logistics: having an appointment with a doctor at a certain time, we waited 2-3 hours in line, did not get through and had to wait for our turn again in the afternoon, which led to the loss of the first day of treatment. The next day, we also experienced negative emotions due to queues, replacement of procedures, postponement and cancellation of procedures. The mood was ruined.

We spent 10 nights in this sanatorium, 18 procedures, about 3 per day. The room is not bad, the only drawback is the plumbing is leaking, but you can live. Diagnoses and procedures are determined “in words”; diseases of the gastrointestinal tract are treated exclusively by drinking from the springs. The pool is like something out of a horror movie, with overhanging plaster and a coating around the edges... creepy. There are a lot of dissatisfied people arguing with the staff on the entire floor. The schedule of procedures was drawn up with shortcomings, the office was indicated incorrectly, therefore there was no time, and no one wanted to cooperate. The impression is that there is nothing left except a big name, and the sanatoriums “don’t give a damn” about visitors and spoiled vacations, because today and tomorrow new ones will arrive and this happens every time. 3 out of 10. I read the reviews before choosing, it was strange to see so many positive ones, probably people are indifferent or have something worse to compare.

Lunches and dinners, no matter what time you arrive (at the very beginning, in the middle or at the end), are always cold, except for soup. If you come for lunch at 12-30 or for dinner at 17-30, then you manage to get some fruit or compote. A little later, nothing... Often salads for dinner seem to be made from what's left over from lunch. If I ever go, I won’t take lunch and dinner, it’s just a nightmare. And the second courses for lunch, if you don’t arrive at 12-30, quickly run out and there is no choice, only 1-2 items remain, the rest of the forms are empty. There is no need to go to this resort. The TV in the room is antediluvian, you can’t see anything. Such TVs are a thing of the past!!! I applied, but no one came, absolutely terrible!!!!!

The work of the receptionists was a little disappointing, because... It was unexpected for me to find out that when checking into the sanatorium, only a passport is required, and an ID card is not suitable 😞 Although, even at the airport and when purchasing air tickets, such problems never arose. An unpleasant start to the first day, spending half a day with the child at the offices. There is nothing suitable for children, as the food is lean and fatty. He prescribes what they ask for, if they don’t ask for anything, then he prescribes some scraps of two or three procedures, in two weeks you may not complete a single course in its entirety. He doesn’t even measure the pressure, an absolutely disregardful attitude or terrible lack of professionalism, which does not exclude one another. To undergo at least 6-7 procedures of one treatment, you need to either change or purchase additional procedures. The swimming pool is just an incomprehensible procedure, if only it had mineral water, but no - the water is simple, if for aerobics, there is no instructor. You just need to get wet there for 30 minutes, just get wet, because it’s impossible to do anything else there. The exit from the baths has not been thought through; every day someone is pulled out of there by the entire staff; instead of installing comfortable handrails, many refused bathing procedures precisely for this reason.

It was our first time in Karlovy Vary. I liked it, it was calm, the weather was wonderful, the people were friendly. A resort for those over forty, the main thing is that everything is in Russian. I wouldn’t call it treatment, rather prevention, and it’s not the procedures that cure, but the wonderful environment itself. Air, sun, walks, springs, wonderful architecture and history. We went “on reconnaissance” and booked a last minute cheap hotel. Parking is bad. Expensive and nowhere to be found. They took us there and paid us a 16 euro vendetta. Navi immediately stopped working, we rushed around and asked until we found our hotel. We went back to Germany by train. We were pleasantly surprised that it was cheap and comfortable. Hotel: very convenient, near the springs, but next time we’ll book something more comfortable.
