From August 2 to 12 of this year, my husband and I vacationed in Karlovy Vary at the Ulrika Hotel. I want to share my impressions. The holiday was organized at the highest level, first of all: a wonderful hotel, cleanliness, smiling faces all around, starting with the staff at the reception, in the restaurant, in the pool, etc. The maids kept it clean, changed towels and bed regularly. We tried to do all this unnoticed, without tiring the vacationers (while we were not in the room). Delicious food, very good cook, huge portions, we didn’t eat everything, so we felt awkward. There were fruits for breakfast, lunch and dinner: pineapples, kiwis, nectarines, oranges, watermelons, melons... you can’t list everything. Four types of delicious ice cream for lunch and dinner. Coffee, tea and juices 3 times a day. The stay in the room was extended until the evening free of charge as a gift from the hotel. It was a pleasure! We were greeted upon arrival with gifts from the hotel too! Next year in 2020 we plan to vacation only in Ulrika. And we recommend this wonderful hotel to everyone with such friendly, smiling people working in this hotel! An excellent wellness center (there are already 2 of them) with saunas open from 08.00 for different tastes. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, with everything in working order. During meals, two men from the hotel staff walk around the restaurant, just like two guards. It’s as if they give you food, but it’s as if they regret giving you food. It's not pleasant to eat under supervision. But this is my personal impression, perhaps they have such an attitude. When checking in, the maid did not put 2 large bath towels in the room. Maybe only ours (No. 508) had a heated radiator that had a very low temperature (even when adjusted to maximum). It is not possible to print your boarding pass for the plane at the reception desk (the computer is only for service).Positives

The location of the sanatorium is excellent, not far from the springs. Beautiful rooms with all amenities, modern furniture, swimming pools and saunas. The service staff is friendly!!!! Good medical base. The food is varied, always fresh fruits, vegetables, salads.Negatives
One situation made our stay less than 100 percent great. This is a problem with our documents and the actions of the hotel director. It’s a pity that the director didn’t give us time for the person to calmly bring our documents. We were forced to immediately send the driver back to Germany and he had to return before 20.00 on the same day (this is 1000 km). Otherwise, the director wanted to evict the mother and two children from the hotel in the evening. Everyone was stressed, including the hotel administration staff (who checked us in) and, of course, us. Although everything could have been settled calmly. There is a human factor that should not be forgotten, we are all human and everyone can forget something! Moreover, there was a copy of the passport and nothing terrible would have happened if the originals had been provided the next day, especially since the hotel was paid for immediately in cash for the entire stay. In general, this attitude left a bad feeling in my soul.Positives

The disadvantages /in my opinion/ include: Fees for writing prescriptions and taking tests /must be warned or immediately included in the cost of the voucher/. There are no flowers or reproduction paintings in the rooms; at the reception you must have scales or a device for weighing luggage. Perhaps this is all that, in my opinion, can be changed.Positives

1. There is no information on the site about the separation of procedures. Upon arrival, we learned that the treatment package included only classic procedures, and all the new and interesting ones that we wanted to try, and which we were guided by when choosing a hotel, it turned out that we had to purchase for an additional fee. I think that correct information about this should be given in advance, and not after you arrive. 2. There is no motivation to purchase additional procedures, for example, a system of discounts for purchasing more procedures. 3. There is no coat hanger in the room. Каждый четверг у нас на бесплатную экскурсию в Прагу едет 3-4 автобуса. Записываем всех клиентов, которые пишут на мою электронную почту, либо звонят на мой телефон ( есть и вайбер и ватсап). Если- бы клиент обратился ко мне или к моей коллеге Елене, мы бы обязательно записали. Эта информация есть в подтверждении о бронировании: Если желаете воспользоваться бесплатной экскурсией в Прагу, пожалуйста, запишитесь на нее по приезду в отель. Записаться можно по электронной почте irena@sanatoriums.com или позвонив по телефону +420 604 704 121 (WhatsApp, Viber). Запись производится с понедельника по пятницу с 9:00 до 18:00 (суббота и воскресенье – выходные). Экскурсия «Прага классическая» проводится только по четвергам..Запись заканчивается во вторник в 17:00.Данную экскурсию невозможно заменить какой-либо другой! Для гостей Карловых Вар выезд от отеля «Pavlov» (I.P.Pavlova 71/9) в 11:00; для гостей Марианских Лазней – от информационного центра «Cup Vital» (Masarykova 626/1) в 9:50. При себе нужно иметь паспорт и медицинскую страховку! Программа тура: обзорная пешеходная экскурсия по старому городу (2,5 часа), после которой дается 2 часа свободного времени.
