A standard room does not correspond to a 4* hotel. Stuffy in the room and in the corridors. The windows are wooden and do not lock when opened, with rattling blinds. The remote control for the air conditioner never arrived when it got hot. The hotel is from 1947, the keys are ordinary with a kilogram knob. A tiny safe the size of a deck of cards and with a key. Bathrobes in a spa hotel are expensive and very small in size. We read the reviews and had to bring our own. Meager and monotonous breakfasts.

My wife and I stayed at the Terme Venezia Hotel from March 16 to March 30, 2017. We liked everything. Pleasant mud treatments thanks to the sensitive and attentive attitude of the staff. I would especially like to mention Russian speakers Lydia and her daughter Adriana. They guided us around the city very well. Excellent food. The swimming pool was a great pleasure. Pros: The hotel is excellently located in the center of Abano Terme. The pools are open until 10 pm, which is very convenient. I liked the lunch, there was a choice of seafood every day, several types of hot food. Bicycles are available for rent for free. Quite comfortable bed. They provide towels for the pool and change them every other day. I really liked the salt grotto, sauna, steam bath. Nice employees doing mud treatments. Responsive staff in room service. Pleasant hotel lobby and bar area, very pleasant to be there. The room has a free safe and refrigerator (minibar). Free wifi throughout the entire hotel.Negatives
Cons: The main problem is the pillows. At first they were hard as stone, impossible to sleep. They asked for something softer, they gave me soft, thin ones, and again it was impossible to sleep. I’ve stayed in hotels a few times, but I don’t remember anywhere that there were such topics about half-stuffs. If you don’t get enough sleep while on vacation, it’s no longer a vacation. Disgusting breakfast, I knew it would be poor, but I didn’t imagine it would be so bad. They didn’t even boil the eggs, they put them in raw and everyone had to cook them themselves in some strange device. The coffee for breakfast is disgusting. The juices don't seem to be freshly squeezed. The staff at the reception is not very responsive; for example, it was not possible to get the ordered kettle in the room. There are no maps of the surrounding area, so they are sent to look for an information point in the city. For dinner, the menu is only in Italian and English, and even in English the names (Italian) are unclear, so you often had to order dishes at random. I can't say that I liked the dinners. For breakfast they give you unwashed fruit, even with stickers. It seemed to me that the pool is a little old (but I won’t say so) and there aren’t as many Jacuzzis as some reviews say. When we checked in, we were given a room of a higher category, but I can’t mark this as a plus, the room was far from new. Wi fi did not work well in the room. There is no ventilation in the room, it was very stuffy if you did not open the balcony. And in February, when we were there, it was cold to open it. Marianna does a good massage, the other massage therapists (whom we ended up with) didn’t like it. The treatment didn't help at all. But this is probably individual. As a conclusion, I can definitely say that I will not go to this hotel again. Although the price-quality ratio is quite good.

The doctor's appointment is more than formal. The treatment was not suitable and was stopped after two treatments. The procedures have been replaced with anti-stress massage (if it can even be called a massage). In my opinion, the replacement is not equivalent.

The whole impression was ruined by the masseuse Marianna, who in 25 minutes touched only 20 times, the rest of the time she poured oil, wiped her hands, then went back to the oil, admired herself, I just don’t understand how the masseur can hold her. I didn’t like the room, but The website states that the category of these rooms is the lightest, but the room was all dark in brown tones.

The use of what appears to be chlorine-containing preparations for the disinfection of swimming pools. By the end of the week-long stay, with repeated visits to the pools throughout the day, a severe allergic skin reaction developed. Healthy middle-aged people who vacationed without therapeutic mud procedures did not complain of allergies, but only noted mild skin itching for 3-4 days. Such reactions are observed when the body is exposed to sulfur-containing thermal waters. But allergy sufferers need to take this into account, carefully dosing their stay in the thermal pool. Poor internet in the room. There are almost no Russian-speaking staff. During my stay, only Adriana was at the spa, thank you very much for her responsiveness and golden hands on cosmetic procedures - a big positive! And also Manola’s light hands on a relaxation massage../but this should be moved to a positive place/.

My husband and I visit this resort for the third time. What has changed over the past six months: a new treatment room has been built (spacious rooms, comfortable baths), a new SPA area: Finnish sauna, ice fountain, hammam. After the steam room, rubbing the body with pieces of ice is very effective. As regular customers, the hotel provided us with a room of a higher category than we had booked.
