The food was monotonous and tasteless!!! Never had anything from Hungarian cuisine. Therefore, of course, we won’t go to your sanatorium just for the food. And many people who stayed there have the same opinion. Although the treatment was very good... There were also problems at the reception. But during the procedures everyone was polite and attentive. Unfortunately, if your kitchen doesn’t change, then people who have visited once will not come again. Change the cook urgently!!!!!

Good afternoon. We lived in the Medical center sanatorium in Heviz in Hungary from April 5 to April 12, 2023. A negative impression about the trip appeared about a month before the trip itself: we received a letter in the mail stating that, due to the celebration of Easter, there would be no treatment or procedures in this sanatorium during the period of our stay. This upset us very much, because... We were going to the sanatorium specifically for the purpose of treatment, not an excursion. Moreover, we could not cancel the trip due to the impossibility of refunding air tickets with low-cost airlines. By the way, upon arrival we found out that in other sanatoriums procedures and treatments were not canceled during the Easter celebration. Therefore, we were forced to make up for the free time with excursions around the surrounding area for an additional fee. I really liked the building of the sanatorium, which is beautiful in the national style, but it is old and, accordingly, the communications are not entirely working, in particular the sewage system and weak Internet (the further you are from the main entrance, the weaker the signal or its complete absence). It was also disappointing that there was no soap or shampoo in the bathrooms; we had to buy them in the store. There was a soap dispenser in the bathroom, but it was located in such a way that you could only reach it if you got out of the shower stall and it was too inconvenient. There was no kettle in the room, so we had to get hot water for coffee or tea from the only machine in the entire sanatorium, which was located quite far from the room. During the week, the room was cleaned a couple of times, but the bed, towels and bathrobes were not changed even once. The resort staff mainly speaks Hungarian and German. English and especially Russian languages are at a lower level. Only Google translator saved me, and not always. There were also some inconveniences in the dining room: dinner had to be ordered for the whole week, based only on the names on the menu, and the dish itself could be seen immediately before consumption. It would be possible to display samples of dishes or at least photographs with names in a separate showcase in order to have at least a little idea about them. Among the advantages of the sanatorium itself: a beautiful building, grounds, a swimming pool with mineral water from Lake Heviz, which was renewed daily, a swimming pool and a sauna. We also managed to do several procedures. I liked the town of Heviz itself: a lot of greenery, clean and tidy. The sightseeing tours around Lake Balaton were wonderful. Special thanks to Lajos for his interesting and educational excursions, as well as to Marina for her moral support.

The sanatorium is old. Suffice it to say that the toilet in the room has an overhead tank and a flush cord. Draw a conclusion about the condition of the rest. The mattress on the bed is wrapped in oilcloth. I was tormented for two weeks about the reasons for such concern for the guests. The only option that came to mind was that all the guests arrive with the problem of incontinence. The bed linen is so old that it should have been thrown away ten years ago and even upon check-in it gave the impression that Someone was already sleeping there. We came across a room (104) with ants that were everywhere - in the bathroom, in the living room, we also slept with ants. They ran on the pillow and blanket. On the morning of the first day of my stay, the hotel administrator was invited and shown hordes of ants in the bathroom. But, apparently, this is not news for them, because it had no consequences for either the ants or us. Breakfast is too monotonous. There was no change in any position during the entire stay.

Minus - at the reception they don’t tell you that there is drinking water and swimming rings at the hotel. First time arrivals buy this. The transfer “service” left a very big negative mark, as I received a letter notifying me that they do not provide service in the evening/at night. The client must find his own transport to the airport. WHAT IS THE CONDITION OF A PERSON WHO RECEIVES SUCH A LETTER 1 DAY BEFORE DEPARTURE? Personally, I will never come again. Another disadvantage is when the client, after prescribing the procedures, does not know where the rooms are located and NOBODY SHOWS.

The level of a 3-star hotel does not correspond to hotels of this level in other countries. There is no shampoo and shower gel and no hair dryer in the showers. The food was tasty but not varied. Salads for lunch should not be repeated at dinner. I wanted a variety of juices. Signs in English are desirable. There are none in the hotel anywhere.

The food is not very good, breakfasts are the same, lunches are very different in quality, coffee and tea are terrible in quality, you had to buy coffee separately from the machine, the dishes are all cracked, chipped, very greasy on the inside, there are no napkins. The staff speaks only Hungarian or a little German and this is very annoying. I didn’t like the attitude of the staff towards me, I came for treatment, but in principle they didn’t want to help me. Poor room cleaning, towels were rarely changed, the bath mats are very old and need to be changed, the toilet flush is on a cord and doesn’t flush anything, it’s just a nightmare, the beds are short and my husband’s legs are fun, the beds are not only short, but also narrow, themselves the beds are stacked and it just ruined my personal life, very old pillows and mattresses, the mattresses are covered with plastic and you sweat a lot at night, you suffer for half the night, then you move to the sofa and the rest of the night on the armchair. They start vacuuming at 06.30 and after a restless night it is very annoying. I spent 10 days in the sanatorium and 6 of them there were no procedures, the staff didn’t give a damn about my health, the sauna worked, but it was very difficult to relax because this sauna was designed for men and women, but the men sat without swimming trunks and it was very stressful. In general, the whole city was like a ghost town, everything closed at 18.00, after that time there was no one in the city. I do not recommend coming.

Nobody knows a single word of English. They smoke on the balconies, it is impossible to open the window because of the smoke, all the stench from the smoke goes into the room. This is a very big minus. The food is simply disgusting. The coffee in the morning only resembles coffee in color and is always cold. After 8 am there is no butter or cottage cheese, although breakfast is until 9 o'clock. You have to wait at least 20 minutes for dinner to be served. Everything is so salty and over-salted that it is almost impossible to eat. How can a sanatorium prepare such food? To raise the pressure? The conclusion is this: the sanatorium is excellent, but you need to order without food, it’s still impossible to eat food.

I really enjoyed my stay, everything was very clean, but the bathroom/toilet definitely needed to be renovated, so my shower fitting didn't work and the shower tray was broken and rusty!!

From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., procedures are performed in the thermal pool, so you can only fully use it from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. It’s good that there are few patients; when the pool is fully loaded, you won’t be able to go into the pool.
