We stayed at the hotel for the second time since the end of October, a family from 22 to 71 years old. We travel often. I am writing a general opinion. As always, Sanatorius' transfer was on time. From Vienna to the hotel we ordered a private one in order to catch the lake, which is open until 17:00. Three vouchers for 10 hours were waiting for us at the reception - a gift from Sanatorius - Thank you. Language of communication in the hotel: Russian in the restaurant, with the doctor, during procedures, and even there is a girl at the reception. The maids - only Hungarian - communicated through a translator on a smartphone when asked to change towels, paper... A little with the rest in English and sign language, this is not only in the hotel. This didn't bother us. Treatment at the proper level was prescribed by a competent doctor in sufficient quantities. I liked the massage, mud, physiotherapy, water treatments. The pool is very nice, allowing you to swim rather than splash around. Nice swimming pool with mineral water. Hairdryers and swimsuit dryer in the pool hall. There you can also get a sheet for the sauna using a doctor’s card. Food - we believe that you need to take three meals a day to rate it excellent. We are satisfied with both the quality and quantity; we really like choosing dishes for lunch and dinner from the long menu. In the morning, cottage cheese with sour cream or yoghurt, sausages and good quality cheese, hot eggs and bacon, milk and cereal. Drinks are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The room is no frills, equipped with an armchair, table, refrigerator, kettle (get it at the reception). Uncomfortable pillow, but good bed. We brought our own coffee, cups and tea. We have three single rooms. The room has two towels and liquid soap. There are no towels for feet or for the lake! At night, I advise you to close the door to the toilet so that you don’t sleep too hot. The hotel is quiet, no children. The cafe is open until lunch. In the evening, people gather in the library and hall to play cards and communicate. Wifi is slow but works. TV channel one. Bicycles and poles are in good condition and are issued with a card. Tap water with sediment, we even bought it for tea. The exchange rate is the same everywhere, they changed it in a shop opposite Danubius. We heard the dissatisfaction of neighbors in the dining room who were vacationing in Danubius earlier. I have been to three Danubiuses in different places in Hungary. Of course, the comfort there is higher, the food is richer. But the pool in our hotel is larger and sporty, and the hotel’s food is decent, without my family’s heartburn and without a lot of weight gain for me. In addition, you won't be bothered by noise or drunk neighbors in the evenings.Negatives
I can’t see well, so the poor lighting of the room, associated with one light bulb in the overhead lamp instead of three, caused discomfort. They didn’t install it in two weeks, which is a pity. The lake's near entrance from the park side was closed until June 2020, and the far one is not very suitable for the older generation due to the slippery wet floor in the transitions to the indoor swimming pool. Despite the correct slippers and careful movement, I fell painfully. We had to use the nearest exit to the lake - an external staircase. Please note!

I liked the compactness of the hotel: it takes a few minutes to get to the procedures, to the pool, to the restaurant. All procedures are carried out at the appointed time, without queues or waits. The medical staff is qualified and friendly. The hotel's interior is very pleasant, with a lot of dark wood finishing, which creates a cozy feeling. The hotel itself is located in a park area equipped with places to relax, the surrounding area is quiet and peaceful. The food corresponds to the level of 3 stars. For dinner, the menu is prepared for the week, which is very convenient - you can order fish or, for example, pork steaks every day. There are also drinks for dinner, service is fast, friendly staff. The hotel has a very good swimming pool and sauna. In general, the hotel is decent and corresponds to the declared category. There was a desire to diversify the breakfasts, the room was cleaned only in the bathroom and the corridor, for 10 days they never vacuumed, even after asking, the towels were changed, but the bed was not. And please replace the rugs in the bathroom; the rugs in the room require dry cleaning or replacement. But even this didn’t spoil our vacation; we had a great time!!!

Upon arrival at Budapest airport at 11 am, we had to wait a very long time for the transfer to the resort. The driver with a sign met us immediately at the exit hall, then took us to the waiting room and told us to wait for fellow travelers. This wait lasted almost 4 hours. Fellow travelers were from Canada, Denmark, and Germany. This long wait is not normal. The return transfer was excellent, everything was on time, even at 1 o'clock in the morning.

The delivery was not very well organized; I had to wait for more than an hour at the airport for a person from another flight, although it was stated that they would meet the flight directly. Moreover, the cost of group delivery is 40 euros, which is higher than 1000 roads. As a result, on the way back I used the 1000 roads service. In addition, a company representative rarely appears at the sanatorium, only upon arrival and upon request. Therefore, any issues that arose were resolved with a representative of 1000 roads, who is at the hotel every day.

No one at the medical reception speaks Russian. There was a need to reschedule the procedures for another day due to going on excursions. At the medical reception, they managed to do this with a scandal and crazy behavior from the staff. The nurse tore up my procedure schedule and threw it away. The feeling that you are alone in this territory, everything is so peaceful. After several days of such relaxation, you stop noticing any shortcomings (old plumbing fixtures, cracked dishes in the dining room, a poor variety of breakfast, a strange translation of the menu in the dining room according to which they serve you something that is not at all what you expect). For me, the main disadvantage was the location of the sanatorium on a hill, which was not mentioned in the description. Although the walk to the lake was not very far, it was very uncomfortable to climb the Potemkin stairs, especially on the way back with a sore leg. We, however, saw that people with mobility problems do not go to the lake, but visit the thermal water pool in the sanatorium itself. It’s probably also a minus that the sanatoriums company does not provide a guide for visiting a doctor upon arrival to help with translation (other tour operators have this service). I seem to have ended up with a doctor who understands a little Russian, but it seems that he did not understand my request to prescribe the procedure I needed (he prescribed traditional treatment: mud, massage, applications). Only after a telephone conversation with our guide Marina (she agreed on a second visit to the doctor, which was not provided) and a visit to another doctor, the procedure was scheduled. True, since it was already additional, I had to fork out more. Perhaps unnecessary costs could have been avoided if the doctor and I had immediately understood each other.

The SPA area (pool, sauna...) is only open until 17-30, and if you take into account that the water in the thermal pool begins to be drained even earlier, then the time of use is reduced. Although, for the sake of fairness, it is worth noting that the opening hours are very early, but not every resident is ready to get up at 6 am. there are many disadvantages. first - for those who have problems with their legs, this is not the place. to the lake you will have to go down the “Potemkin” stairs and go back up (there is a path nearby without steps, but this is not a solution to the problem). but whoever wants to come back to the USSR comes here. interior interiors, the quality of room cleaning (they don’t bother to clean up the crumbs left on the floor from yesterday), the canteen (where they serve half-broken soup cups and unwashed glasses) - everything for lovers of Soviet exoticism. the cards for opening rooms were changed for me several times until I spent 5 minutes at the door trying to get into my own room - the whole hotel seemed to be helping me get inside. Young and energetic people have nothing to do here either, after 20.00, and it’s always a real sleepy kingdom! soundproofing - oh no! I could hear the toilet flushing and take a shower in the room on the floor above, and the staff would sometimes start vacuuming at six in the morning!
