We came for New Year. We wanted to combine business with pleasure. And they were very disappointed. Despite the fact that the invitation to the New Year with the announcement of the program was received in Russian, the entire event was held only in Lithuanian. The ratio of Lithuanians and other nationalities in the sanatorium restaurant was 50/50. Previously, the New Year was celebrated in Estonia: the event was held in Estonian, Finnish, and Russian. We met in Poland - in Polish, Ukrainian, German, Russian.

After reading some reviews, I flew to Palanga expecting to encounter a cool atmosphere and unfriendly staff at the resort. Having rested at Gradiali, I can confidently say to those who chose this sanatorium, do not believe the negative reviews! The entire staff is very responsive, not everyone speaks Russian well, but everyone, without exception, tries very hard to help. We were pleasantly surprised by the responsive girls in elegant, formal uniforms at the reception desk. I would like to give special thanks to the masseuses Galina, Irina, kinesitherapy trainer Cornelia, as well as the wonderful cook who every day pleased us with something tasty, fresh and environmentally friendly! Of course, many thanks to all the staff in the restaurant for their teamwork in difficult work and lovely smiles. The coffee was absolutely amazing! Room cleaning is impeccable. Just put up a sign and in half an hour the room is clean and all the towels are new. It’s especially good for those who visit saunas every day. By the way, they also smell like fresh wood! Procedures are a completely different matter. There were no problems at all with changing or compressing the schedule. And if for some reason I couldn’t attend the procedure, it was rescheduled for another time or day. I will definitely return to Gradiali in the summer and I advise everyone who wants to live comfortably in a new sanatorium, breathe in the sea air, treat themselves to long boat trips to Palanga (3 km), and just forget about the stress and pain of the musculoskeletal system.Negatives

I can only write downsides about the autumn Baltic WEATHER (rains, rains...), so it’s better to go in the summer... In Palanga there is where to breathe fresh air...

I would like more participation in the treatment process on the part of the doctor. Initially the booking confirmation stated two doctor's examinations, in fact there was only one examination. We believe that a second examination during treatment would be highly desirable. For example, my husband’s blood pressure rose during the procedures, and the course of treatment should be adjusted. It was essentially impossible to do this.

Our room did not have air conditioning. This did not bother us, because it was not so hot, but it is worth paying attention to when entering the room. Another minus is that the procedures were prescribed a couple of times in a row without a break. I had no problem running to the next office on time. But this did not allow me to relax during the procedures, thinking about how to be on time for the next one. I coped with it, but for my grandfather at 83 years old it was difficult. We must pay attention to age and in general when drawing up a plan for procedures, whether it will be the person has time to get to the procedure. I could go up to change, reassign the queue, but once I went up and stood at the counter for an hour, returning 4 times because the girl made mistakes in the schedule every time, canceled what was not necessary, forgot to add, reschedule procedures. True, for a whole hour , without exaggeration, I decided that I didn’t want to waste time on this again!

The hotel does not reach 4 stars. The quality of service is low. Unfriendly staff. Some people don't want to speak Russian. The refrigerator in the room is noisy and the telephone does not work. Also, the care products in the room are not replenished during cleaning. Give once upon check-in. The food is terrible. Very little variety for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 5 days sea pike on the menu. The cutlets are served from a ready-made frozen pack, store-bought. While you are eating 25 times, the waiters will come and take the dishes, they constantly loom and take the dishes through the person, and not from the edge. Medical services. It is worth noting that you want good staff for inhalations and massages. In comparison with the sanatoriums of Druskininkai, this hotel lags behind in all aspects. The staff does not control the time in the dry carbon dioxide baths; I lay there for 50 minutes instead of 20. During the baths, the staff does not monitor the condition of the patients (does not come in). The sanatorium positions itself as Russian-speaking, but young employees say that they do not understand Russian. We advise you to look for a better sanatorium.
