The Spa Hotel Corso is a very chic renovated house, everything is color coordinated very tastefully down to the smallest detail, a room with a front view of the theater is of course unique. The booking documents should contain detailed information about parking options, especially about the two short-term parking spaces for unloading/loading when arriving/departing on the DIVADELNI (continuation of the Nová Louka), as well as how to get there via the streets "Na Výhlidce", " Libušina" and "U Imperiálu". The navigation system is wrong if you give the address "Hotel Corso, Stará Louka" because these parking spaces are on the other side of the Teplá (Nová Louka). I have already vacationed in Karlovy Vary in other 4 and 5 star hotels, so I have something to compare with. Very good impressions from the Corso Hotel: the design in every space is thought out to the smallest detail, very cozy and pleasing to the eye. Food: Good breakfast. The five (5!) course dinners are simply amazing! Salad-soup-sorbet-main course and dessert. The main course is chosen from three options the evening before. The chef will take into account your wishes according to your diet/food preferences. They prepared portions for me without onions. Treatment: the doctor is a very good diagnostician; during the examination I immediately saw (not pronounced) problems with the neck and spine, which I did not have time to voice. The nurses are very friendly and qualified. Although the number of available procedures is not so large, the quality of most procedures is higher than in previous hotels where I stayed. Be sure to ask about IVs and the course of injections that are performed there for rejuvenation and health. Spa area: warm (!) quite spacious pool, steam and dry saunas, sheets and towels available, 4 sun loungers, lockers with a key in the changing room, cold and warm water, as well as hot water in a samovar for making tea (as well as cups , and the tea itself). Of course, 4 sun loungers and 2 chairs were not enough for everyone, but things can be left in a locker and there was never a feeling that there were too many people in the spa area. Overall, a very positive experience at the hotel and I am writing such a detailed review only with the desire for the hotel to prosper and become even better! I recommend it for a relaxing romantic getaway or a bachelorette party. The hotel also has everything necessary for children (high chair, children's dishes and cutlery), but in my personal opinion, it is better to be in a more spacious hotel with a child.Negatives
Food: the lack of choice of fruit was depressing. Mostly just apples. Sometimes a mandarin duck or a grape would appear there, but they looked like random guests there. Also, breakfast lacks some small sweets for coffee. Some days there were not enough fresh vegetables available for lunch, but cooked vegetables are always available. Treatment: massage leaves much to be desired. I arrived at the appointed time, but no one came out to pick me up and I had to go to the head nurse for clarification. The nurse was also not aware of any changes, having looked at the masseuse it turned out that she was massaging someone else and come back in half an hour. By the way, I never heard any apologies from the masseuse (of course, the nurse apologized a hundred times for her). The massage itself was rather relaxing; all my instructions on sore spots that needed attention were ignored. I also heard disappointed reviews of the massage from other hotel guests. True, there were probably several masseuses there, because there were also good reviews, but judging by the description, another person did the massage. Spa area: despite all the beauty, there is room for improvement. By Saturday evening there were no towels or sheets, and they did not appear on Sunday afternoon. The same applies to cold water in the samovar, lack of tea and cups for hot food. It felt like the only person supporting it all had gone on a day off and as if no one could replace him. It would seem that it could be simpler. Especially on Sunday, when there are no treatments and more people want to enjoy the spa area. On Sunday evening or Monday, I don’t remember, everything returned to its place and became good again. However, in the women's locker room, the shower ran out of gel and was never refilled. So the only option to actually wash yourself before the pool was to bring shower gel with you from your room. These are all such little things and so easy to fix!
